Seriously though, these guys *are* being greedy which is IMHO going to be their downfall, with guys like me if they said 5-10k a year and we'll leave you alone i'd probably pay it without a blink. But they want a LOT more than that, so suddenly it becomes more worthwhile to fight them.

If you look at the laws, you'll find that the royalties acacia is asking for are the maximum allowable. It amazes me that they would be so stupid as to ask for a % of the GROSS, instead of going for a share of *NET* because again, if they were going for net it might be worthwhile to just pay them and tell them to fuck off, but when your business model is based on high volume and low margins, its just not feasible.

I would applaud the individual who decides to shoot the owners dogs or put a horse head in their bed.. hahahah..
