Just because I know HOW to do it, doesn't mean I actually DO it.
One of the biggest mistakes I make is cooking for someone and they find out I can do it, lol! I'd much rather hop in the car and go out - or make a snack
We can send her to my Mom's! That woman is amazing - you can't stand to be around her for more than 10 minutes, but damn, she can cook southern. Her pastry will flake into 20 different layers. Whenever we want a recipe we have to find a family member that's still talking to her and see if they can get it from her - we swear she changes ONE THING in it though :P
But after marrying one Yankee and almost marrying another, I can honestly say, there's a big "food divide" that isolates our little Southern States, lol! I bet Katie thinks green beans should be crunchy and you put sugar in iced tea AFTER it's poured!
