The villan for me. The Hero is predictable no matter how you slice them in most cases (no pun intended in slicing them). The Villan however, gets your adrenaline pumping and makes you think and react. All you get with the hero is nice, sweet thoughts and tears in most cases. But that villan will make you want to jump thru the screen after him and whip his ass......... For ME, I think if the Villan isn't well written then 99% of the time, the movie isn't worth watching....... HAS to be done right.
This is just how I see it..... some may see it differently. You can write a bad hero role, but you better damn well not write a bad villan role, or you will lose me everytime.
