For video cameras, I would have to say that the Canon XL-1S is a really nice piece, super high quality.... but not all shooters are comfortable with what is a shoulder mount camera, not really a "hand held"...
but if it's good enough for broadcast, it's good enough for porn.
Stills are more of a challenge, that market is moving so fast... There are a couple of Sony cameras that give nice results, Canon does a real high end digital (about $8k)...
It's a fast moving marketplace.
