Pissing certainly had its time and place back in the day. Many of us, including me, got known for it.

But people change, I've seen a few snide remarks here and there on this board, but it certainly didn't come up to the level of the old Ynot and Netpond days, and it's just as well.

It may have drawn people to the boards, but I think that most of us have matured and changed the way we do business on these boards.

Also, many people didn't show it, but some of those pisses really wounded the participants.

The playful pissing done on this board now is much more positive and a well-written, witty post is worth more in the long run. You can stand up for what you believe in without having to be called ugly names.

I know that I, for one, am glad to see it gone. It was getting a little old being told over and over again that I was a fat c-nt..whether it was true or not, it still wasn't any fun.

I left the boards for a long time partly because of the anons over at the old Netpond attacking me every time I opened my mouth. That wasn't good for my business and I doubt it was for anyone else's either.

I love to see if I can win a battle of wits with someone, but when it gets personal and nasty, it's non-productive.

I've seen a lot of new people come over here in the short time I've been here. There isn't any pissing going on and yet here they are.

Seems to me that that proves that people are coming here to escape pointless personal attacks and mindless ass-kissing that goes on on other boards.

I've been to GFY and have had to think twice several times before posting on a thread for fear of being attacked by people who don't even know who I am. Also, that board seems to be extremely sexist. Women seem to be able to post here without constant harrassment of one form or another (except of course for Serge and his ass posts, lol).

I would probably leave if the old-style pissing matches became the norm on this board. So maybe there are less page views, but I definitely learn more here than at any other board.

Neither sickly-sweet nor openly hostile..that's the way to run a board that will get the intelligent webmaster's attention.
