I think the best thing about getting up in years is being able to dispense with the mincing of words and trying to self-censor everything so people will either be impressed or feel like they're having their ass kissed. After a certain age, most of us don't give a tinker's damn what other people think of our opinions. That part rules! It's a hell of a lot easier to be ObnoxiousBitch at 40 than it was at 25. What shocked people back then is explained away now by a simple, "Oh, she's just old & crotchety."
