An attorney in Florida wanted to sue to have the child taken from its mother. Whether the child is a clone or not, why would anybody even consider taking it from its mother?
If I were Rael, I would have done exactly the same thing. I would have sacrificed credibility for the wellfare of the mother and child.
Still, I'm sure they are fakes - just not because they denied testing.

I must agree with the leaving a child with it's mother part of your post.
Even if the child were a clone it should stay with it's mother, unless abuse becomes a factor.
If they were to take it from it's mother what would they do with it? Conduct fuckin' experiments on it no doubt!!!!
