I would be all for it if it offered "real" security but this does nothing but make people "feel" safe. The machines do not work very well, issue lot's of false positives, and don't scan for some types of bombs at all. Bottom line is it's a waste of time and money and it doesn't make me feel any safer at all.
Oh, and Peaches, apparently my years of being a drag queen are catching up with me. :P
