When a company sites you for violation of a patent, are they not suppose to provide an example of the violation?
We have a patent on breathing, and on Dec 14th, we have video of your breathing...
We have a patent on advertising delivery on a website, and your website XXXXXX.COM has adveritising on it...
things of that nature?
It would seem to me that if patent infringement notices were served to multiple companies that were not in violation (even based on a VERY liberal interpretation by the courts of this patent) that it would show intent not to enforece the patent but in fact to extort monies from various "low hanging fruit"?
I received one about a week ago from a company claiming to have patents on internet advertising... I also died of laughter.
