there is a series of Japanese "horror" movies...loosely hooror...called The Guinnea Pig movies...they are basically filmed via handheld camera and involve torture (simulated), brutality and would appear to the untrained eye as snuff...everything is staged, but the realism is way too much and very hard to take, even for my tastes....there is basically little to no plot, just violence and simulated torture for the sake of violence and simulated torture....think of wall-to-wall porn done for the torture set...
not sure if it's true or urban legend, but it's been said some of the actresses have quick making films are appearing in some of these films as the psychological impact was too much for them...
I love a good machette to the face movie as much as the next guy and even the Faces Of Death/Death Faces/Traces of Death/Shocking Asia movies have all graced my vcr and/or dvd player...but the guinnea pig series is a bit too much even for me.......
