We had a Junior ROTC Program (Navy) in the high school I went to and recruiters were a very common site....even though the JROTC program wasn't pushed as a recruiting tool, that's what it was....well, ok, it was mainly an excuse for us to take field trips to places like Pensacola, Treasure Island, Seattle, etc. and consider them as "educational field trips" because we'd tour a ship or two....and of course the teachers were retied military guys, so swearing was par for the course as was smoking, rough talk and loose chaperoning
