Actually, I think it's funny too ... and as the political frenzy draws to a close, I do not want to hear one more folksy story about the conversation in the check out line of the grocery store with an old man/woman telling the senator/congressman/candidate to "go to Washington and support our President/save social security.

Democrats chanting "Enron ... economy" should be horsewhipped. Republicans chanting "bin Laden ... Saddam" should be drawn and quartered. The first politician to take questions from a real audience not selected by the national committee of his party should be appointed to office.

But it won't make any difference? That's the biggest crock of shit I've heard in a long time. Nobody is foolish enough to think that this industry is EVER going to have friends in Washington from ANY political party that manages to get there in significant numbers.

To borrow a phrase, It's the judiciary, stupid.
