Only a matter of time before something like that was exposed. Anywhere there is decent money to be made scammers are sure to follow.

For me, Snap Names was pretty much always over priced, with way too much action for domains with way too little value. Plus the process of a domain expiring, ending up on a parked page for months, etc pretty much wipes out much of the value of existing traffic or links.
