Sometimes I just shake my head at what is tolerated in this business. All this current discussion about honesty and good business seems like so much hot air when those who perpetuated a scam are welcomed unconditionally without even a mea culpa. Or did I miss something along the way with the demise of Netpond?

Looks lo me like Brother Bear didnt have much to do with what was going on there. Im sure he was reassured that everything was fine and all would be paid.

And I will say again that Meat and Aga are my friends.
But the question of not paying people is a disturbing one.

Sleazy sure has helped a lot of people make a few coins and I wish him well and hope he finds peace continuing his quest for fulfillment.

Not quite the way I watched it unfold. But que sera sera. M and A as far as I can see did a runner. They took the money and ran. It was a classic old school grifter move. From the closing of the office in the UK. To the dubious excuse of the "law suit". Then not answering any communications. They made sure to leave enough confusion that the getaway was clean. A long con from beginning to end. To pull that off, you have to develop confidence and loyalty and "friendship". That is what con and grifting are all about.
My problem is that when it became obvious, there was no reaction from the biz at large. What happened there was worse perhaps than GFY and look at the reaction to that little problem. It went nuclear and M and A just well...went.

If it swims like a duck and it quacks like a duck and it looks like a duck......its a duck.

You have a point.

Im not sure what reaction would have ben had from the biz other than affiliates being affected by the payout.

Im almost certain that netpond cash affiliates were NP loyalist... meaning that was their home board so they were able to see it from end to end.

The whole thing is murkey so I havent madea comment on it as from dealing with ANYTHING that involves that board has never been quite what it seemed from the outside.

On that note I do hear that your Vancouver pal is trying to purchase it for a second time and go for the trifecta of tanking boards. . .

Now that is funny. I wonder what it is worth? It must be depreciating by the hour.

I do think it is curious how easy it is to bullshit the bullshitters. I suppose it serves them right for hanging on when they should have just abandoned ship. But it speaks volumes about the type of people that this business attracts.

This was posted on "The Pond" today.....ya gotta laugh...."I really hope Meat and Aga sort everything out."

Sorry didn't make it back, with doing the news, cutting new commercials, working on my own board. You do have a point, I screwed up. I was asked to move two threads, and I did.. oops, bad me. For some strange reason I don't have admin but I have mod. I don't plan on doing it again. When someone asks me for help I always try to help. But I have learned my leason. If I can help someone learn or help with an idea I am all for it. Unless the board changes hands, or everyone is paid, I am staying out of the mod admin biz over there.

Thanks Gonzo you are so right, man I have helped a lot of webmasters over the years. In the last year it all went to hell in a handbasket. I have gone back to my roots of just helping webmasters and newbies. Yes I am taking a lot of flack, but I am not running away or hiding from anyone.
I am back to my old self. I don't do this stuff for the money. Money is the least of my worries. I do what I do because I enjoy helping people change there lives. Believe me when I say it can be the most rewarding and fun job in the world helping people. Even though cutting video news, and commercials is not something I am fantastic at, its still something that keeps me busy and having fun doing it.

come on SB, you are posting and modding at netpond. This is all just so much bs. You have been playing those guys over there like puppets and trying to get some collateral street cred, but it is so much hogwash. Now you are putting it around trying to spam your new tv commercial biz. Duh.....:whistling:whistling:whistling:whistling:w histling
