UPDATE 9:40 AM ET: Apparently the deal has been closed, because celebhotline.com has pics of what looks like the video on its site.

Spotted ... "Gossip Girl" star Leighton Meester having sex with her BF... on video.

We've learned a Meester tape is being shopped around town. It was shot a few years back, and shows Leighton in mostly innocuous though nude scenes -- with several big exceptions ... one involving her very talented feet.

We're told a company called celebhotline.com is negotiating for the video. The company's spokesperson, Kevin Blatt told us, "We've seen the tape and we're hoping to close the deal."

We contacted Leighton's rep but so far ... no comment.

Yeah.. she is quite pretty and I normally prefer brunettes over blonds but I wish it was Blake Lively instead. Still.. I'd watch it.

I had to Google her as I have never heard of her. After seeing her pics, I still don't know who she is other than just another schlock teen actress. Her 15 minutes are almost up...

Well, if you watch any shows on The CW network then you know who she is. [problem is it's a network that primarily caters to the female demographic and the younger female demo at that. So we're not exactly in their target market. I watch the only two shows left on there that are still primarily geared towards men, Smallville (superman origin show) and Supernatural (two brothers who kill demons), and they are holdovers from one of the two networks (UPN and The WB) that were merged into one a few years ago with an entirely new strategy. Both are great shows, Smallville going on it's 9th season and Supernatural on it's 5th, that I do not miss so I see promos for Gossip Girl all the time. Ironically they are two of the best performing shows, Smallville being it's best performing show, on the network and they aren't geared towards women.

Actually, if you read any periodicals pretty much or have any key in to current pop culture, you'd know who she is - she's even been on the cover of Rolling Stone (which, frankly, makes me sad).

I don't watch the CW, and I wasn't interested enough to look her up when she (and the others in the current crop) started popping up places, but I do read RS and Spin in their entirety when they show on my doorstep. Apparently, Gossip Girl is the current diggity.
