All Of 'Em Announces the Launch of WebmasterConventions.com

http://www.WebmasterConventions.com

Having recently celebrated our eighth year anniversary, All Of 'Em, the
adult webmaster resource covering the news, the events and the discussions
in the adult online industry, proudly announces the addition of
WebmasterConventions.com.

Rather than rebuild the wheel, WebmasterConventions.com leverages the power
of Google Maps API as well as the 15 years of archival weather data via
Wunderground to bring adult webmasters an all-in-one experience. Can you
predict what the weather is going to be like in Amsterdam for three
specific days in April? How about Curacao in October? At
WebmasterConventions.com you have it at your finger tips, never pack for
the wrong weather again.

The maps and search capabilities are unrivaled with our Global Convention
Map powered by Google. Not only can you see a world view of convention
locations, you can zoom down from a satellite view to your convention
location city block by city block. What does a webmaster do if a hotel is
booked? On Webmaster Conventions he clicks on the convention pin, types in
"hotels" and gets back both a textual listing and visual map view of all
the other hotels near the convention hotel. The webmaster can actually see
how far away his second hotel pick is, then click it and either get the
phone number or click through and register the hotel. If the convention is
near you and you're driving, you can even get a planned route and mileage
information.

"We have never just thrown something up for the sake of having it up. We
wanted our conventions resource to have all the bells and whistles, all the
power tools an adult webmaster requires. With the ability to accurately
predict convention weather around the world at any time of the year, and
included web search with a mapping interface, we've achieved our goal of
creating something that is simple yet very powerful," said CEO
Dravyk. "This keeps in line with All Of 'Em's long-time mission of
delivering detailed information quickly with advanced search capabilities
so webmasters can find what they're looking for fast and not waste their time."

Even when at the convention our new feature comes in handy. Want to make
sure that taxi isn't ripping you off? Just tap your laptop or BlackBerry,
click the convention pin then find out the best route from the airport to
your hotel and ensure your cabbie is going the "right way". At the hotel,
need to find a place to purchase that forgotten sunblock, or the nearest
Indian restaurant, or where to spend a day's escape? Our map will give you
details on what's where, how close it is to you, and all the other details
you need right at your fingertips.

About All Of 'Em: The adult webmaster business resource that covers the
adult online industry has many components to it. BoardScanner.com which
covers all the discussions on the webmaster forums and can also update
webmasters by email. WebmasterLogin.com which serves as the adult
webmaster's own favorites page to sponsors, hosts and more. Plus the
niched resources search engine and the long-running business weekly double
opt-in newsletter AllOfEmToYou.com.

AllOfEm.com is part of a great stable of places I sell ads for, including Oprano. If you have any interest in getting your program, webmaster trade show, product or other adult related venture more exposure hit me up as outlined below.

I didn't even know that All of 'Em was still around.

How come it doesn't track Oprano? Last messages it loaded from here are from 2006.

Nothing personal. Long story short. Good programmers are a bitch to find. And if you find a good one he tends to get tied up with long-term large-scale projects.

In short, Oprano upgraded to a version of VB that had a lot more features and differences than the previous one -- and also made enough template changes to the default too -- that our spiders didn't recognize it anymore. The programmer has finally finished his long-term project for us and after he does a short-term one for someone else is scheduled to rectify this problem.

And yeah, sure we could have gone instead and found another programmer (or more likely series of programmers) to learn the script from scratch and then make adjustments, but I've found in the long run it's best to wait for the main guy who worked extensively on it before and knows it back and forth to come back rather than go through a bunch of unknowns who are clueless and deal with their excessively long learning-curves. You end up with the same amount of time spent, a lot more money and never what you wanted; best to wait, even if it's a substantially longer time than desired.

Trust me, as soon as Scanner is able to pick up Oprano again I will be able to give out a long sigh of relief.

yadda yadda yadda yadda.......

lolol...Long story short my ass. lololol.

Here's the long story short version.

It's broke. I'm working on it. Should be about

Two Weeks

:yowsa:

Seriously though. I am on it. Trying to catch up with 2+ years of changes in board structures and tags to get everything working again.

I have been working local so the updates I have been getting in are not going into the main database right now.

Hopefully have stuff going into the main database in a few days.

Harry, that takes care of us needing to get together by phone too. :)

The convention page came out looking pretty good. Must be the script :okthumb:

Yes, you did bang up on the convention script, Sarettah. Mind you, that was just a little nugget for you, you could have done that one in your sleep, but it's sweet.

I know you're working on the Scanner script, and it will be taking so many boards in the near future I might need to get another server and hard drive in just to keep up with all that it will be scanning!

Fuck, it's been a whole two weeks already. Time does fly, ya know.

http://www.allofem.com/scanner.php should be working pretty good for the most part.

Still some tweaks going on, especially to the date and time stuff but that part is perpetual.

So now the question is, does webmaster conventions want to hire me to shoot videos of each of the events? ;)
