Miley Cyrus Thought Kiddie Porn Pix Would Be Artistic
WWW- Miley Cyrus, the 15-year-old star of "Hannah Montana," said she is "embarrassed" by a provocative photo spread shot by famed photographer Annie Liebovitz that is appearing in the upcoming issue of Vanity Fair.
"I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be 'artistic' and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed," she said in a statement released today. "I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about." Cyrus, the daughter of country music star Billy Ray Cyrus, is the singing and acting sensation known to her legions of teenage fans from the Disney Channel series "Hannah Montana." In one of the photos, Cyrus is shown from the side, with most of her back bare, clutching what appears to be a satin sheet loosely around herself. The Disney Channel, after learning of the Vanity Fair photo spread and article also issued a statement critical of the magazine. "Unfortunately, as the article suggests, a situation was created to deliberately manipulate a 15-year-old in order to sell magazines," the statement said. Cyrus also recently apologized for a series of personal photos that circulated on the Internet last week in which she bared her midriff and her bra. "The pictures of me on the Internet were silly, inappropriate shots. I appreciate all the support of my fans, and hope they understand that along the way I am going to make mistakes and I am not perfect," she said in a statement to People. Cyrus is known for her good-girl image. In 2007, she told USA Today that her Christian faith is "the main thing" and what helps her stay grounded in Hollywood. She also told ABC News' "20/20" that she faces the same pressures and temptations as less-than-wholesome stars like Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan. "People will say, 'Well, you're only 14. You're not getting the same pressures as them,'" she said. "It's like ... 'Yes, I am.' It's because, you know, this life that I lead is pretty crazy. It's just about, you know, having value and having pride in yourself." |

her back is showing big deal, girls her age wear less at the mall and her parents were there and everyone saw the pics during the shoot. Miley doesnt make her own decisions.

I think what we just saw was the first "shot across the bow" of Miley growing up.
But it does beg the question....why can Annie take that shot, and it's "Art" on the cover of vanity fair. But anyone in our industry handling that, (as if we would,) you know damn well it would be stamped KP, and the fed would fall on you like a ton of bricks. |

All this, and a major part of the adult industry is frothing at the mouth counting down the next 2.5 years until they can get ahold of her sex tapes (made after she turns 18... you don't think this will happen?).
In the old Mouse House, this girl would have been out on her over exposed butt a long, long time ago. But money rules and everything else is optional now. I think she is only embarrassed because people didn't take it the way she expected. |

All she has to do is move from the Disney Channel to Nickelodeon where it's perfectly fine to have a Star get pregnant at 16. So, a little pantie and bra flashing on her MySpace page, or a naked midriff or back in a magazine is nothing much.
You already know that as soon as her popularity with the little girls starts waning, she'll pull a Spears or Lohan and go crazy in LA. I really do smell a sex tape in her future! (probably produced by Dad) |

I have a hard time believing that Miley Cyrus's people didn't realize what was going on here... I smell publicity stunt. You know what they say "there's no such thing as bad publicity". My personal opinion on the other hand is that these kind of stunts are bad publicity for celebrities in this category, she ends up looking like just another spears or lohan.
