2much internet services threatens chatter
December 8, 2006 (Press Release) -- owner Mark Prince and reps.of his website has threatened several chatters on his with bodily harm for trying to advise girls not to sell their bodies. This poses a serious problem to others that may want to help the women see that they're alternatives to the cyber sex lifestyle because of these cyber pimps threatening the customers. The pimp even called one of his chatters and told him that there would be someone lurking in the dark to finish him off. This puts into question the safety of visiting sites like this because often you must give them personal information such as names, addresses, and even credit card numbers. They know everything about the chatters and this information can be dangerous because some owners are even affiliated with organized crime.
Mark Prince's threats to chatters shouldn't be ignored and people visiting these sites should be cautious about joining or giving them any personal information. The person that he made threats to couldn't file charges because the company is located in Canada and they were made by phone. This unnerved the chatter because the owner makes frequent trips to the U.S. and he told him he had several contacts near where he lives. Telling your customers to watch their backs is not something to be taken lightly, especially since the person making the threats has unlimited resources to carry the threats out. Remember that anytime you post your information of erotic that the owners have access to it also and by trying to do the right thing by warning the models of the dangers of the lifestyle will also put you in danger too. Mark Prince is what he is, a cyber pimp hell bent on protecting his interests no matter what the cost. Be warned that these type of men make millions off of unsuspecting people and they will do what they must to anyone that threatens this. I made the mistake of emailing him warning him about threatening customers and the responce can't be published here for fear that children may read this. Please keep a close eye on your child's web browsing because men like Mark prince preys on this and please talk to them about posting personal information on line because cyber pimps like him may get this and maybe one day you'll recieve a call threatening your life also. http://www.free-press-release.com/ne...165613350.html |
Re: 2much internet services threatens chatter
What the hell is that all about?
Sounds like a bunch of bullshit to me. All you have to do is boot someone out of the room. When Joanna Angel does guest shows on CamZ their mods boot assholes before you can say, "What an asshole that guy is". |
Re: 2much internet services threatens chatter
Reads like someone working hard to get sued themselves.

Its certainly not good for all of us to give surfers yet anohter reason not to give up a credit card. Not the first time Ive heard some non flattering comments about this company either. But I dont have any firsthand experience. |
Re: 2much internet services threatens chatter
Gonzo, read that press release again carefully.

The tone of voice in the entire release reas exactly like someone who was caught red handed over and over, and when the phone rang with a "stay away from out sites or we will get the law after you", they went this route. The writer is clearly a nutjob. |

I cant imagine any site giving up a free hardcore cam show without a credit card. But I guess as competatitve as things have gotten recently it is possible. |
Re: 2much internet services threatens chatter
I am hoping the author of this release will come out and share his proof of this or his motivation for sending... But all in all it appears more and more people are airing their Mark Prince / 2much.net problems and I personally would like to chalk up my (bad) experience with him as a blimp on the learning curve.

Re: 2much internet services threatens chatter
Keep in mind the source of this "release". I can submit anything I want to on that site, and they never verify or check a thing. A fake gmail.com address will get your release posted.
It sounds like a disgruntled client who got the boot and probably banned from the system. This is his idea of payback. I've known Mark Prince since even before the Interwebs...back in the old BBS days. He's one of the last people to personally threaten anyone, he has a lawyer that just lives for that stuff (who I've know for almost as long). This is just someone trying to cause shit and nothing more. Let's also keep in mind that this was released in December of 2006, and we've never heard another word on it. |
Re: 2much internet services threatens chatter
Gonzo I'm very surprised that you would post this sort of thing without SOLID facts. You're usually much more responsible about your rumor mongering. The Gonzo that I've known for many years now was less inclined to let his integrity come into question by relying on silly disgruntled clients and illegitimate 'press releases' for his information.

Re: 2much internet services threatens chatter
Hello Everyone,
For anyone who is interested, I have a few things to say on this subject, and a few things to say about the people who have posted it. First: KevinG, my friend Danny, RawAlex, etc. Thanks for the support. Our chat system allows performers and administrators to boot people out of the room, but its based on IP addresses. A person can come right back into the site with a new IP and email address, and continue being an ass. This person kept coming back and was so over the top with his threats, that we actually had to call the Police in his home town and speak with an sergent and file an official complaint. It finally took our lawyer to get the police to get up off their butts to go into action and visit him at his place of work. I was not told what happened after that, but I assume he was fired for (a) logging into an adult website from work, and (b) for threatening chat girls. We know exactly who he is because he made purchases on our website with his credit card, several times. His personal information was never released except to the police when we made our complaint. Now, you know. And now, on to other things. Shellee: You first posted this on your website 2 weeks ago. But of course no one goes to your forum, and so you persuaded Gonzo to post it 2 days ago. According to our attorney, this is a big mistake. As "Administrators" / "Owners" of these forums, you may be putting yourselves at risk. It's one thing for a "user" to post libelous remarks, but its quite another thing legally for the OWNER of a website to post this kind of thing. You may want to ask a lawyer about that. For anyone still reading this... (HellooooOoo? still there?) There are 2 VERY good things that came out of this incident with this customer. First, the antics of this person actually helped us to improve our software. In 2006, "anyone" could come in to LiveCamNetwork.com and chat, and pollute the chatroom with noise, begging, etc. The problem was: If we make our website "members only", how to we tease the new visitors into becoming paying customers? Our strongest selling point is the video quality and the performers. If we block everyone out, we won't sell. We did 2 things to fix the problem. First, we bound the USERNAME + IP ADDRESS + EMAIL ADDRESS together. If a user was kicked out, all 3 were blocked. Next, we changed our software again to allow "Visitors" access to the chat rooms, but disabled their ability to type. This let them see the other chatters, the conversations, and of course, the high quality video and the sexy performers. This exposes the new customers to our sales pitch, but blocks the beggars and haters from causing trouble! Another GREAT thing that came out of all of this is that this same person who made the original "press release" in 2006 also hassled other online video chat companies. One day in January 2007, I received a phone call from the president of that company. "Hello! Are you Mark Prince? Do you know this person? Yes? Can we talk?". This phone call has lead to brand new business that I am VERY happy to have. So that's all I have to say on this subject. Those who know me know I'm a weenie (and proud of it). I'm proud and protective of my little company and our little product, LiveCamNetwork, and I always somehow manage to make lemonade out of lemons, which is more than I can say for at least 1 person involved in this thread. CHEERS! Mark Prince http://www.2Much.net |
Re: 2much internet services threatens chatter
Let me cut to the chase real quick with this.
This popped up on one of the many RSS trackers I have running with google. I cut and pasted and linked back to it. Like I do with MANY industry related stories. Good or bad... it starts discussion like this thread did and had concluded on a sounds fishy note. If you have a problem with it... do what you think is right. I always have. Secondly I was a guest of Steve and Shellee Hale on the yacht trip. Anyone that knows me knows that I seldom attend any parties at shows. And I certainly dont attend uninvited. I figured it was was ok for her comapany to invite me - they were picking up part of the tab werent they? If the Hale's were in error then please send me your address to cut a check for the amount that you think would be appropriate for the matter. My first contact with your company was when catsup head spammed my board trolling for additional sponsors on the last trip yall cosponsored. So the bad taste I have for your company was way before I ever met the Hales or this press release. Youve seen me in person. Im a big boy and I can make my own judgement calls so the insination that someone is holding my reigns doesnt hold water. Besides people here know better. So if you want to come over here and play thats fine just dont cry when it ends up bad for you. LAJ might close threads out of sympathy. I wont. The users of this forum are intelligent enough to make educated decisions for themselves. So no matter how many times you quote and counter each paragraph and no matter how many "homies" you want to bring for an old school pile on the people of this forum will decide for themselves in the end as they always have. Ps Em ... you know better than to think anything has changed. |

Yes my board is new we started just over a month ago. Mark Prince seems to be loving to bash me for the work I have done in the last 6 months as if I should be further along with our business plan than I am. All I can say is with all the projects we started only two have caused us any set backs and working with 2Much.net and Mark Prince was by far the largest. Not only have I started this company but I am a working mother of four and a corporate wife as well as a philanthropist who still volunteers 20-40 hours a week for the Red Cross and have spent the last 10 years lobbying for children's education rights and foster kids programs. Mark Prince can't hold a candle to me. I donate more to charity than his company makes. So consider the source when he trashes the work I have done in the last six months or just my board I started a month ago. I thank you Mark for clarifying you have the records of this exchange please post them and let us know who sent out the release. Additionally, I have shared with Gonzo as my mentor and friend many things and asked his advice. I was a little slow is executing his directions at times but I am truely indebted to Gonzo for his help! |
Re: 2much internet services threatens chatter
Gonzo,
I don't think so. How could anything take 2 years to pop up on your RSS tracker? And yes, you're a big boy who can make his own judgement calls. You have made yours without even talking to me, without asking even 1 question, and without even an email letting us know that you were going to post it. Good for you. And "homies" or not, I stand by everything I have said because unlike both you and Shellee, "I was there". I'm not simply copy-pasting a 2 year old "press release / rant" by a disturbed chatter in a lame attempt to bring content to my site then grandstanding about it. Mark Prince |

Re: 2much internet services threatens chatter
Hello Everyone,
The point is, we had a problem with an annoying chatter who would not go away. We solved the problem by improving our software to block him out, and by contacting the authorities when this customer began to make threats in case he was truly dangerous. Situations like the one above are always an interesting challenge. The question became: "How do we get rid of this guy?" The answer was found using technology and brainpower. If anyone reading this is running a chat site and would like to learn more about this experience please feel free to contact me. Regards, Mark Prince http://www.2Much.net |
