What do you guys think? Are these kind of awards any big whoop? Do they make money for the winners? Or is it a vanity thing? Or could it be trying to appear legit like a real film maker, which virtually none of these guys are.
I kinda find them amusing. Things like best blow job scene. I mean how good can a bj be? It doesn't take a lot of talent or skill really.
Freeking red carpets and glam awards nights for dirty movies? Cracks me up but hey, if there is value in it, it doesn't hurt, I spose.

In a word, No. It may give the winning programs an excuse to send out newsletters, affiliate emails, issue a press release, etc. but that's about it.

Notice how all the nominees were from large multi-site programs. If it were really based strictly on merit you'd think that at least one independent would have made the top five nominees, in a few categories such as Fetish Site or Solo Girl Site.

Yeah, that show never seems to do well. I didn't even go when I could have easily driven there.
