Btw, they let you in real easy if you notice. It's when you come out that you have to go through the customs shit. Hope you have your passport.

Dothan is one of those towns that I remember feeling like a serious minority in. Let's you know how the brothers feel in largely white areas. On the rare occasion I saw another white guy I felt compelled to give him one of those "what'sup" head bobs just to acknowledge it.

But I'm sure there's an outstanding BBQ or southern food restauarant there somewhere.

I was born in Birmingham. Back in the dinosaur days my family lived at Ft Rucker which is nearby.

You could check out the Monument to the Hog or the Large Golden Peanut. Maybe even drive over to Enterprise and check out the Boll Weevil Monument. (I'm not making this up either).

I heard that a lot one year while doing some work in near by Trussville. The hotel I was staying at had an "honest to god" enormous Bear Bryant portrait on velvet in a 24k frame in the lobby.
