My case for Al Gore....

First let me make this very clear, this is not so much about politics as it is about marketing....a new style of political strategy.

Something I have noticed of late is how marketing is changing since the internet has "grown up". For instance Brittany Spears flashes her beaver to the world, then "apologises" saying she wishes she had Victoria's Secret's new line of underwear. I am convinced that was a very focussed and well thought out campaign planned well in advance of the "accidental" flash. (But possibly a smart ad guy cashing in on the moment) Non traditional, but probably effective.
Now I watch Gore. I didn't put the pieces together until this past week. Something was nagging at me. All the publicity around global warming in the past six months. It is being positioned as the new concern of youth. It is a young issue and if you are not on board, you are old and washed up. Kind of like the Pepsi generation of its day. When I see this, I just think there are skilled spin doctors and a crafty agency at work here. Gore has his film. He is at the fore front of eco warriors at the moment. He is on the talk show circuit.
The young will have a huge influence in the upcoming Presidential election. Especially when elections of late have been cliff hangers.
So in steps Gore. He is not "campaigning" as yet (in the traditional sense) but make no mistake, he is raising his profile and looking really good. He can tip the balance when the only issues anyone else will have is the war and the economy.
I love marketing and when I see a campaign this good all I can say is: Respect.

Britney is a young marketing Madonna in training.

Even if she does a bunch of stupid shit... she has figured out how to cash it out in the end.

Its obvious the husband didnt learn anything from her.

I agree on Al Gore. The question is "what?". He said he wouldn't run again but is he paving the way for Hillary or ?

I think its great that so many are addressing these issues, however I agree that marketing "something" is at the core of most.

I am watching Gore closely to see where this goes. If it is indeed a campaign and if it is successful, it could change the political landscape. It would make Karl Rove and his spin techniques obsolete

Free Mike AI.

I think it is interesting when the sun sets on the neo cons, the rabid neo cons disappear. They hate to be wrong. But hey, when you have an Escalade, who the fuck cares? LMFAOROF

Glory days in the wink of a young girl's eye
Glory days, glory days"
