Should Content Thieves Be Outed?
Interesting observation where someone was using some unlicensed content yet his buddies jumped into the thread and were whining that it should have been settled off the board.
In this case my friend Eddie from Extreme Hole was in the photograph in question! With content being very inexpensive to buy/lease or now relatively cheaper to shoot exclusive whats the excuse for ripping off shit? Now you are also non compliant with 2257 which raises the stakes. |

Depends. If the person posting the complaint has no real proof but is just airing their suspicions and accusations I say keep it off the boards until you have something substantial.
But in this case, it seems you obviously have solid evidence, in which case I say tell those who are whining to keep it off the boards to shut the hell up. ALL clearly exposed cheaters, scammers, and those who hide behind anon fake nicks in order to act like assholes need to be outted I say. Scum is scum. |

Another point to consider.
Extreme Hole retains forever becasue it is unique content. I have users that I am getting paid on that have been recurring for over 2 years. Make that content non exclusive and you potentially dilute the payout for all parties. |

How big of a postcount does the alleged thief have? How big of a postcount does the photog have? Have I met either of them at a show for 5 minutes so I can attest to how honest they are? Have either of them ever jumped into a thread to support me? Have either of them ever jumped into a thread to attack me? Which side are the "cool" posters on? What sponsors are in their sigs? Have either of them ever offered to lend me money? Have either of them ever bought something from me? Have either of them ever sent me TimTams? Damn, there's more, but thats the crux of it. A question like this cannot be answered easily, lots of criteria to take into account. :okthumb: |
