I would say all of the above. Relevance being the most important. We who actually work and support this business have no interest in outdated business theories that don't work on the net any longer. Mostly because they are either hated or illegal as fuck. I hope Oprano can morph into something relevant to today's internet marketing reality. Enouguh potty mouth bullshit already.

Reggiano....old, sweet, expensive, and elegant. It is always better to acquire your own cheese, toss out the moldy old shit, get a bottle of nice wine and enjoy your success. Anything less is sucking the hind tit.
And if you are really successful, then you can try great vinegar. It is more expensive and requires good taste to appreciate. Something that I have found very lacking in the past.

I looked up old timer and it seems it is not a synonym for rich. I am sure there are tons of people who are more recent and have made a shit pot of money. I laugh when I hear the term old timer being used on someone who has been in the biz for what....ten years? I hate to say it, but I made my first successful soft core porn video in 1982. I left the adult business and concentrated on more mainstream entertainment until the internet gave us the opportunity to end run esurient distributors in the nineties. Now that was a time for sure. Lots of people who were around then are still here. Many more have crashed. As for no one caring, I am not quite sure that is the case. If you are still standing, then it means you have cracked it. Lots of the paper tigers could never survive today if they were just starting out and a lot of their "advice" no longer applies. So congratulations on a long internet life.

Time do not change anything or choose anyone, time is at best a measurement. However "people" do change over time. So let me help you with your statement - it should say "people have changed" instead of "time have changed".

Now that we got that cleared, then let me ask you this... have "people" really changed. Does today "newbie" start with a higher insight than before? Do not worry, if you can not answer that question, because there is no answer, since we are individuals.

So with that knowledge I give every new person I meet the first chance to show his/her talent... I do not waste time trying to judge him/her, because they will judge themself. Their words, their actions - its all something which comes from their person, so I wait for those.

Once they have "exposed" themself, then I do not preach, I only tell them what they should already know. That ignorance is bliss, but also a curse that will/can hunt everything they touch. The dumb one will reject that statement day after day after day, until one day he gives up or his life runs out... The smart one embraces it, and uses it, when he meets new people.

Yes, after AEBN did the dirty work with lowering the board IQ by banning old timers, and then refusing to lift the bannings, then I´m certain that this board is headed towards "Xpeeps Surfmaster School".

Now I do have some choices...

I can sit by watching as the idiotic spam by surfmasters for surfmasters increases, while surfmasters get lined up to go to the AEBN/Xpeeps reform school. This could be fun to see how the mindless without critique will eat shit, while telling themself "this is as good as it gets". :scratchin

I could also leave like everyone else who finds censorship to be the weakest form of expression. It would also help the new Oprano puppet masters reaching their goal of a below average IQ board, which do not ask questions. Their logic is : dumbing the board = better control = more mindless spam = more $ :blink:

Of couse there is the option to keep posting the truth, however I do not find much enjoyment in playing mind games with the mental disabled, since they can not be blamed for their condition. :(
