Google pays out $92mill on click fraud
So have you used google pay-per-click ads sometime between 2002 and now cause then you are in for part of it
Oh wait, the 90 million is going to the lawyers. The plaintiffs are going to get "credits"... :yowsa: http://today.reuters.com/news/newsar...AUD.xml&rpc=23 edited in: I blew the title, yeah yeah, I know, it's 90 million... |
Re: Google pays out $92mill on click fraud
Google and Overture have been crediting back accounts because of click fraud for at least the last 10 months.
And you wondered what all that Spyware/Adaware was good for.... |
Re: Google pays out $92mill on click fraud
The shame of it is, there's a lot of webmasters as publishers using Adsense (as opposed to advertisers using Adwords) who in Google's overzealousness declared click frauders, kept their monies and tossed them out. Are we talking Russian kids with music sites and shit?
Nope, lots of American, Canadian and European Mom types with sites about sewing and beanie babies and educations sites were labeled this. You never hear about that though. They'll never see their money again. Google fucks up on both sides of the fence majorly. Just the big advertisers can afford the big lawyers. Sucks. :thumbdown |

But I've read of many who have, heard of quite a few second hand, and know of at least one person personally who got screwed by them. "Your mileage may vary." |

That is a whole lotta cash. A Dravyk said I have heard a lot of varying accounts of satisfaction with their service.

ok, If Im talking out my ass, just say so...'which someone probably will"
I truly don't know how these big SE's work. But in my thoughts I see it as follows: Just like alot of the major multi million $ companies like " Norton, HP, Windows, and many others.., When you call for tech support, You end up getting some Habebe Dude in some 3rd world country, who barely speaks english, with a shitload of text books sitting by the phone or computer waiting to assist you for about probably $1.50 an hour. Well... I wonder if the major SE's play this same game, by getting some 3rd world Pakistany Habebe Person "for a buck.50 an hour" to sit there with a list of key words, type them in to there search engine, and then click on the results & BAM, I owe more $$$. I mean shit...correct me if I'm wrong, but it does make sence to me, well at least its a good marketing strategy...lol I sit here and bitch about them while I own stock in google, crap @ almost $400.00 a share, you can't beat that, and it's gonna "pop" real soon !!! And when splits...it will be awesome. but I still think S.E's are a scam. Maybe someday someone will create a "REAL" legit one. |
