Who wants Rhetorical to leave?

and who wants Rhetorical to stay......

Pony up...I will go with the majority....

I am working on my traffic management skills....let it fly folks...

Oh yeah, and you might want to post, in a clear and concise manner, just exactly why...one way or another...

Damn this neighbourhood can be interesting...

Sheez, with all the posting you've done here you would think by now you would know how to make a poll :yowsa:

Re: Who wants Rhetorical to leave?

Actually I can't find polls now

A few changes have taken place

Already voiced my sentiment,
Stay - you're good for business, as long as it doesn't become the rhetorical board (meaning you're every thread)
Didn't feel the need to wax poetic over you

Re: Who wants Rhetorical to leave?

I will be back tomorrow to follow the results....

Re: Who wants Rhetorical to leave?

Ok, to make a poll.

You hit the new thread button.

Type in a message like usual. Then before submitting go all the way down to the bottom and there is a check box that you check if you want to make it a poll.

After you submit, instead of taking you to your post you will be taken to the poll to fill in the choices.

:)

I figure you can stay, every board needs a victim, and this board didn't really have one until you came along.

Re: Who wants Rhetorical to leave?

Nahhh You're cool bro :)

You're barely abrasive, and when you are... no offense but it's in an 'idiotic funny' way - just have to know your personality. I picked it up pretty quickly.. You have the personality of a bipolar who has MPD :)

Seriously though, you have made helpful posts.. Just as much as you have made harsh posts I found... well odd

Anyways, I see it is starting to hop again... Seriously seems much more active and some good threads have been going....

Re: Who wants Rhetorical to leave?

Don't want you to leave dude, just stick to the business postings though.

I'm fairly new and from the things you have commented on so far it sounds as though you know a thing or two and I could actually learn something from you.

I'm not interested in listening to you argue though. If I want to hear bile I'll put one of my Bill Hicks CDs on. Hence why I gave you some stick in one of your other threads.

Joe, you need to be around the net a little longer. Then you might realize that your quote is used by every newbie who has ever posted. Villages, idiots, puppets, jesters, blah, blah, blah.

I am sure you will mature and eventually do well. Good luck to you and Gonzo with this board. I hope you can rescue it from its sorry state.

Thank you for the well wishes. I see a lot of changes ahead.

Re: Who wants Rhetorical to leave?

*sigh*

This is usually the sort of thread I'd prefer to avoid like the plague, but I do think it requires an insertion of logic.

Quite obviously...judging from page views and responses, absolutely no one - with the exception of the nameless and faceless few who neither viewed the threads nor responded - want rhetorical to leave.

I've been off and on the adult 'net since 1997. I mention that only because I've seen a lot of message boards. A *lot* of message boards. At one time or another, I've worked for most of them in some capacity or another.

In all that time, there is absolutely NO ONE that I'd trust with making rational decisions on who has or has not the right to post on a board. I've seen people banned, agreed with the banning, and perhaps even instigated a ban or two - but the decisions could hardly be called "rational." They were emotional, clutch-at-the-gut decisions. Personal, not business, as it were.

So, I add my own name to the list of people I wouldn't trust to make a rational decision on making anyone leave a message board. Any individual has the right to post anything they want, as long as the rules of the board are not broken. Any other individual has the right to ignore any post/thread they choose.

To paraphrase the rather famous "first they came for..." essay: first, you come for rhetorical, because you don't like what he posts. Then, you come for the relentlessly cheerful people with a tendency to run on at length....

I'm not at all comfortable with that.

Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn.

If you leave, you will be back. (See below).

If you stay, I suspect you will have a meltdown and depart. (See above)

You have no idea of my track record. That is what amuses me about folks like you. LOL.
But then again I have no idea who you are or what you have done. So we are even.

I have no idea of your track record either. I do know however that sites I associate with you are listed all over the fucking place and usually with some pretty good comments associated with them and I imagine that your stuff gets some pretty good traffic.

I am merely referring to your track record posting on Oprano, and nothing more.

Great type in lead to excellent revenues

Think of what was done buying and selling domains during the dot.com bubble

Re: Who wants Rhetorical to leave?

Woke up in a Soho doorway
A policeman knew my name
He said "You can go sleep at home tonight
If you can get up and walk away"

I staggered back to the underground
And the breeze blew back my hair
I remember throwin' punches around
And preachin' from my chair

Well, who are you?
Who are you? Who, who, who, who?
