Despite competition from much raunchier sites on the Internet, Playboy’s web site has continued to draw visitors and buyers after practically pioneering the web porn industry.

Historical revisionism once again rears it's ugly head. :hmm:

Re: Playboy pioneered the web porn industry??

until recent months in my opinion Playboys sites were the worst on the web

for too complex for their own good and not really telling or giving us anything

there is a guy in Playboy UK trying to change that though and his sites look great

Playoboy is a publicly traded company, if they were pioneering the adult internet I would think there stock price would be increasing rather then floundering.

That doesn't make them pioneers in my mind.

The pioneers are the ones that came up with the methodologies that made the adult web what it is/was.
