Big Brother - Coming soon to your home town

If you want to take away Free Speech it seems that anymore all you have to do is yell "to protect the children" or "terrorists and WMDs"

The proposal, made by a presidential commission, would transform CIFA from an office that coordinates Pentagon security efforts -- including protecting military facilities from attack -- to one that also has authority to investigate crimes within the United States such as treason, foreign or terrorist sabotage or even economic espionage.

The Pentagon has pushed legislation on Capitol Hill that would create an intelligence exception to the Privacy Act, allowing the FBI and others to share information gathered about U.S. citizens with the Pentagon, CIA and other intelligence agencies, as long as the data is deemed to be related to foreign intelligence. Backers say the measure is needed to strengthen investigations into terrorism or weapons of mass destruction.

Unfortunately the majority of Americans know nothing about these tactics and wont until most of our rights are taken away. This administration, in terms of sneakiness and manipulation has outdone the Nixon years tenfold.
Then again so many of Bush's people worked for Nixon and have expanded upon what they learned then.

With the exception of a few groups once thought "paranoid" and "crazy," the US population has sat quietly while most of what we once thought were our "rights" were taken away. They'll sit quietly through this one, too. One day they'll all wake up, look around and wonder what in the absolute hell happened to this country. By then, it will be far too late.

I miss the days when fatigue-wearing, compound-dwellers were considered nutcases. Now they're just accurate predictors of what was about to happen.

According to my lovely wife I'm just paranoid because apparently all of what's going on has to be passed by congress and the people, and the people won't let anything happen to their freedoms.. Ha Ha Ha!

I'm going to send this to her so I can get her riled up on the subject again! LOL
