Traffic out of nowhere - Any ideas?
Hey everyone, I have funnyassjokes.com as it says still a work in progress but it is functional (just needs a facelift to start).. All of a sudden today I have 3 new people signing up to the board as posters in about 8 hours.. meaning I am getting decent traffic from somewhere, I can only assume it is S.E. traffic for a keyword pertaining to jokes..
What do you guys use to see which search engines are sending you traffic etc nowadays? The last time I used anything like that was MK-STATS!! Any help woudl be appreciated, would just like to see where the people are coming from :) |

Re: Traffic out of nowhere - Any ideas?
I'd be interested in learning how to find out what SE traffic I'm getting too.

Re: Traffic out of nowhere - Any ideas?
There are all kinds of programs that will analyze your raw logs and tell you where traffic is coming from and what search terms they use.
If you're on a server running CP, you've got access to Urchin. It's in your control panel - actually tons of different log analyzers are in your control panel. If you've got Telnet access you can set up Urchin to run through your logs even if it isn't installed by default on the server. There are also a bunch of programs that will run on your home computer, you download and feed your logs to them and they spit out the results. |

Contacted my host they are going to put webalizer on my server.. I do have a server log and I bet ya I have a referrer log maybe I should poke around, been a bit since I messed with logs (or had a reason to)
Nick, I could use $250 in PP account lol !!!! Actually would prefer Stars as I have bonus money to lay through there, lol ... However I'm not depositing again, so i better win this tourney on Sunday at party ($500K guarantee). Well not win, but ... Winning would be nice, $125K, yeah right ... :) |
