Just had to relay what happened this morning.

So , I am in the throws of buying a house.....

I went in and signed all the papers and handed over a draft the other day.

So the wife is of course excited and wanting to buy expensive furnishings asap.

Here is the highlights of the email back and forth....




Me to lawyer:

So ,is it to all intents and purposes its a done deal?
I ask this as the wife wants to buy some very expensive furnishings and
don't want to buy them and then have no where to put them. ;-))

Although we have not received the signed documents back from the Vendors, I have no reason to believe that the deal will not complete as scheduled.

This is the same lawyer that , during my drinking period, when he'd call the office ,I'd see the caller ID and realise it was him,So I answered , saying something like "Chung's Chinese Takeaway" and without missing a beat he said "Morning Jon , is Anthony there?"

I love mine just because she's a 50ish year old country type lawyer. I'd never use her if I was sued, but for wills, property closings, probate, etc. she the best. :)

She was the attorney for the people I bought my house from and handled the closing between us for another lot. Even though it had been a couple of years, she knew I was interested in the lot next to my house, called me AND wrote me as soon as she saw it listed for the sheriff's auction :)

I miss Mark. Quality lawyer, if such a thing exist. Did they make him a partner yet?

Actually we had two didn't we? Mr Rice was also a fucking unbelievable lawyer, and a partner. :)

In my experience there is asmany bad clients as bad lawyers.

My attorney in the State, ChadKnowsLaw, whom many of you know, is outstanding.

I'd never have a lawyer who was known for representing porners.LOL

I'd always pick the best ,most blue blood blue chip firm that would have me as a client lol
