what do you do in the industry? I notice on a lot of boards they seem to be geared towards one aspect of the industry or another. Like I can think of one very popular board that pretty much has the link lists wrapped up and quite a few TGPs that are regs there..... I am just wondering what everyone here at oprano does that is industry related... I will start off

Currently I am employed full time by Sexy City Cash as their affiliate manager. But that job title includes a lot of other aspects of the company as well. I am in charge of all site development, a big chunk of promotions, affiliate support (of course) and general day to day stuff... Before that I worked at Extreme Paychecks as their on site video editor and before that I focused mainly on building galleries and submitting them to various TGPs and the like. The entire time maintaining the first site that my wife and I created back in 98 called Apollos Temple.
I know its not much of a resume, but thats what I have done and what I am currently engaged in. I am just curious what everyone else does or have done . See what kind of mix we got here :D

Let's see..

I've only had a few FT jobs with other people over the years, and based on experience I will NEVER work FT for another adult company again, or any company for that matter. lol

I've worked for PLRRadio as the webmaster/designer in charge of maintaining their sites and the resources pages for others that used them.

After PLR I was hired on by Porncity.net to run PCAVS and was with them until they shut PCAVS down.

I was head designer for PIBCASH and just as their other employess I was screwed in the ass with no KY.

I also did SEO for a very good guy that taught me a lot about the SEs.

So I have experience with Design, Running an AVS(approving sites, webmaster relations), Freesites, SEO, and finally.. assisting Wicked Temptress with http://www.cryptcash.com

Any questions? :)

Re: industry related

Well, I've been in the industry since June of '99...

I started out like a lot of people out there, doing free sites and submitting galleries. As the years passed on, I started learning as much information as I could get my hands on. I've done just about every type of site there is to do...

In addition to doing free sites and galleries, I started doing AVS sites, a TGP site, Link List, etc...

Started learning how to do graphics, promotion, marketing... Whatever I could...

Then, I thought that I would try my hand at doing some work for another webmaster. That's when I got my very first crash course lesson in business gone bad...

But, I didn't let that stop me from giving it another shot...

This lead to me working for companies such as Porn City, PLR, (sadly)PIB, and other companies...

About this time, I opened my own erotic story and custom writing business called Written Temptations.

I now also co-own Crypt Cash and maintain it's pay sites myself.

I am also a cam girl for Pussy Cash's I'm Live website.

And, fairly soon, I'll be adding phone sex operator to that list too.

You might say I'm a woman of MUTIPLE talents... :biglaugh:

I got in to the biz in 99 building free sites, I was lucky enough to find the C.O.N.D.O.M project (Netpond) very early on because my sites got slated big time so I changed them and started to make money. Worked free sites, avs and tgp and did quite well.

In 2000 went to work in Canada, but only lasted 6 weeks before coming home, setup my own paysites while still working the link lists, tgp's and SE's. Did quite well and started to party a little too much.

2002 went to work in Canada again and managed to last 2 and a half months this time before coming home again. Closed my paysites and kept on with the free sites and the likes.

2003 - present, still have a shit load of free sites that I've not touched in years along with dating sites and some poker sites. Took time out last year to really concentrate on TJ Envelope Machinery Ltd as it was having problems, too little too late though.

As of the last few months I've been working on a quite a few things none of them porn.

Me... I'm a slacker... In addition to being the office bitch, I'm going back to school in a week and am therefore switching jobs and working with another company responsible for creating traffic.

I'll explain it all another time when I know what it is better, but suffice it to say I'm really looking forward to it. It should be an interesting experience. Since I'm not hot enough to make money as a male stripper or have my own cam site (no one in their right mind would pay for that) I've gotta do something while in school to kill the time (I thought about doing homework... .but decided against that) So instead I'm going to be generating traffic.

Fear not though. Even though I'll be in school I'll still make time to harass all of you.

(ps Send dollarmansteve all your traffic)

Why did you have to clarify and say Toronto? I assumed everyone knew we are the center of the universe.

How can you Canadians live in that cold?
Personally I think you're all warped in the brain due to the cold (which explains all the liberals in Canada)

Yes please I want to live somewhere that has perma-frost 3 months out of the year, expose me to extreme cold, sure

Yes, obviously Bhelliom is a mildly retarded noob who knows knowthing of this industry as demonstrated by his idiotic use of the term "creating traffic". Clearly, he is just talking smack as no one with any intelligence would ever think of using the term "creating traffic" to mean anything other than that. He thinks that traffic magically appears out of know where and that you can "create it" out of thin air, this is obvious. I am so glad you were able to point out this grievous error as to demonstrate your superiorority in all respects to Bhelliom, as I assume was the intention of your post.

you're a dumbass...

I know alot of people who made alot of money "creating traffic"

I wasnt pointing out an error, I was underlining a certain choice of word that could imply something in this business... That's what was funny...

But eh,It's not your fault, you're from Ontario, so I forgive you...

edit:
oh wait, I forgot a smiley so that you see that Im just kidding around!
