I was looking at the HK's as you suggested, and one of the guys said, hey have a look at this baby. It was smaller than the HK P7M8 and for the pricing of a polymer gun, it was literally half!

So anyways, I got the specs on Springfield XD, they did all the tests like GLOCK did, dropping it 10 stories, running it over, putting in water, mud, and the 20000 round firing test. They passed everything with flying colors.

Most important:

Springfield Armory's XD Pistols recently won the NRA's 2003 Golden Bullseye Award for "Handgun of the Year".

Thats a nice piece. I like H&Ks a lot, and Sig Sauers. I think Glocks are crap. I cant go with the snub like the one you got, my hands are too big, and besides, without a concealed permit, discretion is not my priority:) The springfield armory line you got is a well made handgun.

When I did my CC course , I'm sure the guy said anyone threatening you with a knife at a distance of 25ft or less , shoot.

Sure, it's fun to fill people with lead. But the psychology of having someone stare as a solid metal bold is impaled into their body. hehe Nothing like the looks on their faces then!

Not to mention the extra cool benefit over bullets is with arrows they either stay in or they have to be pushed completely through their body themselves (if there's no organs or bones in the way) to get it out. Can't beat that!!
