Man that woman tells it like it is. Turn on CNN now for the "rebuttal".

PornoDoggy 01-18-2005 01:04 PM

She did a pretty good job on her ...

Mike AI 01-18-2005 02:48 PM

I am sure Condi is losing a lot of sleep. Boxer is a fool, who could not be elected anywhere but the Socialist Republic of California.

Pelosi is just as bad.

NickPapageorgio 01-18-2005 02:56 PM

I thought she brought up some good points about no exit strategy etc. Condi tried her best to just dodge the questions and redirect attention to something else completely. Why do they do that? Why not just answer the questions that are asked?

Having an exit strategy is a moot point in combat. It will change as much as the enemy does. We have certain goals, and would like to establish some form of stable gov't and get the hell out. But it may not be feasable.

Read my other post about liberal media and perceptions on Iraq. It was written by a soldier who has been there in combat.

I do not know the soldier first hand, so I cannot say.

However, I doubt he wrote this article hopin to become President one day.

Who knows, maybe we will see his comrades in arms come out against him. But it is a fresh perspective from someone who is there.

or an op/ed piece reported by the AP.. cant tell difference either way anymore.

point being, for every "soldiers story" from the front lines, there are a dozen or so others. they dont all say the same thing, so you have to take the writers time in the conflict, his views perviously on the conflict, his political views, his pride, etc into anything he would write, wether for or against. Its still news and news these days is opinion. screw all the media outlets.

See , my thing is this...

The US Army is in Iraq now , it seems , to help the people learn and understand democracy.

Over 80% of the people of Iraq want the US to leave.

Show them that democracy works and their voice was heard...

Get out.

:)

Leave them to it.

Nick, the US Army is in Iraq for other reasons. Democracy might not even be in the top 10 reasons.

The Irish want the Brits out. The Basques want the Spanish out. Kashmir wants everyone out.

Who does Canada want out?

When's the last time you left the country Nick? Why don't you ever go to conventions in the US? When is the last time you have visited my redneck country?

JoesHO 01-18-2005 05:10 PM

Iraq was a power truip for Gw and sadly enough we are gonna pay for that for a long time to come...

Well today she asked some very pointed questions that Condoleeza Rice had a hell of a time skirting...er answering. I mean, these are the same questions many people are asking but many politicians are afraid to ask. Seems like she's just doing her job to me. But then again, the people asking those questions are all raving lunatics too I suppose. :)
