do you think it is a good upsell?

how do the members feel about paying additional in the members area, for what they have traditionally recieved with the membership cost?

Well, we are doing it with http://www.g3x.com and NOT charging for the initial membership. We're doing quite well with it :)

I'm a little biased (maybe a lot biased) but I like it.

Hotmovies gives your members free time, so instead of it being an upsell only, it's also extra content.

A few companies use it as an incentive to help sell the membership.

You get all this great content, plus you get x amount of free time on our sister site: (insert custom theater branded url here) w/ over 13,000 hardcore movies.

It's a really good upsell.


I'm sure some of the other ppv companies will do the same thing for you as well.

I read over the weekend someone was offering up a percentage of the company for traffic to a new VOD site. Amusing...no better way to say we are despirate!

I use my own ppv to upsell in my own members area and i have to say it works great. Just don't forget to have the company you are taking the ppv from, to designs you template that fits with your members area

going back to the early days there were those that would upsell their members to .. whatever.. and those that didnt.

Site owners that upsold their members to PPV, live cams or other video crap, made a lot more money.

The same is true today.
