well Merry Xmass , sabby LOL

Anyone else got any Xmass nightmares?

I've heard a couple on medeenger and icq already LOL

Sabby 12-26-2004 01:05 PM

After me slaving away in the kitchen all day we are almost ready to sit down and have Xmas dinner. I forgot to buy flour to make the gravy so I had to send my husband to the store to buy some.

He gets back and we notice the dog is missing. Somehow he must have escaped when he opened the garage door to warm up the car.

We spend more than 2 hours outside searching for the dog. It's minus 20 celcius outside if we dont find him he'll for sure freeze to death. And hes got bandages on his back legs cause he had dewclaw removal surgery and was neutered a few days ago. Hes not even supposed to go outside.

Im pissed off and yelling at my husband for being a bonehead - I mean, how do you walk out the door without noticing a dog at your feet. The kids are upset and crying... a total nightmare.

My cousin finally found him. The neighbors 3 houses down had seen him wandering around outside and taken him in. He has a tatoo ID in his ear but no tags or collar. They were going to take him to the pound.

With the dog home safe and sound, we all sit down to eat our cold turkey dinner.

What a night!!!

Sabby:)

It was a good time for the first 12 hours or so, then it went completely to hell quick. So I did what any smart woman does in the face of such a crisis... I went down the block and hung out with the gay guys. ;)

Luckily, I escaped any real drama or issues this Christmas, save for the drunk guy at the shelter who wanted beats.....

We did our good citizen thing at the shelter and had a wonderful time. It also taught my two oldest kids to be thankful for everything they have and if they ever complain about Santa underperforming, they could have this as an alternative. It also opened their eyes to the fact that homeless people aren't just the smelly guys who hound you for change...there are working families living out of their cars and /or flop hotel rooms (we get a lot of people moving to Vegas thinking they'll make big bucks working for the casinos and find out about all the work cards and juice it takes to get anything worthwhile).

Just because you have lemons doesn't always mean lemonade, sometimes a lemon meringue pie is more in order ;)

No one was wearing UGG boots either ;)

I get to be Father Christmas for my son in a few hours, poor child gets visited by Santa or Father Christmas at 4 houses

Mickey Mouse and Santa called my son to say hello and wish a Merry Christmas

Sorry to hear about your dog Sabby, glad you found him

I take it the living arrangements have changed?

Living with an Ex is a bad idea all around, IMHO - and Vick will back up I said that from day one. :awinky:

Vick 12-27-2004 10:35 AM

Yes the living arrangement has changed, sold my house and happily the ex and I no longer live in the same house

Living in the same house as my ex was best for my son at the time and we always put him first. Now at 3.5 years old he is better equipped to handle the situation.

We have shared custody and he has his own bedroom at both his mother's place and mine

Am very happy that my g/f and son get along excellently (she's closer to his age than to mine)

Sad as it is to say (and as embarrassing as it is to admit), this is the first year I made more from investments than I did from porn

Going to travel a little next month and am focusing more on the porn business and putting together a new illusion act

Snap!!!

A 120lb Bernese mountain dog did the same all over my house.

Not a bundle of fun.

Especially when the other 3 dogs all decide to go "Shit skiing" in it.

Looked like there had been fucking prison riot in my house with people throwing shit everywhere , or a GFY party.

not a lot of people know that..

I decided for the first time ever to make cookies from scratch over the holidays.

Many successes, many failures. I am especially pissed and followed the directions perfectly and having things turn out badly.

Turns out, for some reason, any "normal" cookie, I can screw up. Butter cookies, sugar cookies, and the chocolate chip ones were a disaster. Yet, the weird stuff, came out awesome! Italian lemon-iced cookies, jam-filled and orange-almond biscottis all rocked.

(Ok, time for Nick to say I'm gay!)

Wow! My 2000th post!!!!

Wow! My 2000th post!!!!

I'm a piss poor baker myself....
that's why I buy store bought cakes, cookies, etc. then add my own flare to them...
example:
take those Keebler's soft batch chocolate chip cookies, melt some hershey's white chocoalte chips in a bowl (microwave it about 30 seconds) and take some regular chocolate cake frosting and water it down with some milk...
lay the cookies out, spread the frosting on them then drizzle the white choclate sauce over them in a criss-cross pattern

that recipe will get you laid ;-)

Dravyk 12-27-2004 04:08 PM

I made four batches of toll house (fucked up over half of them.)

Then found an awesome recipe for apricot-white chocolate cookies. Delish!! Except they (at my house) have to be eaten up in small flmsy pieces falling apart.

I can't do pies (I've can even ruin a pie crust that was store-bought!) or cakes. Seems I'm doing either amazing or miserable on cookies, depending on the recipe.

You should also try those Airsoft pistols that shoot the 6mm plastic bullets. I'll bet you my cleaning lady lets me know just how badly they can fuck up a vacuum cleaner this week.
