Dianna Vesta 12-18-2004 07:22 AM

I’m paying for google ad words and overture. It’s working but costing me a small fortune. Meanwhile when I test my keywords I see non-sponsor websites coming up easily with no fees..the same sites.

The problem is that although I’m converting I pay for a lot of clicks for people who are looking for plant/trees help or information. No matter how I filter this I get tons of it. I hate paying for that at this stage.

I use to keep up on this but I’m busy as hell now and need to find someone that isn’t taking my money and not doing the work. Someone who is keeping up to date on SE rules and results.

Does anyone know anyone or a service I can use?

Dianna Vesta 12-18-2004 07:59 AM

Oh if you know anyone hit me up at 365555 ICQ

Thanks

Make sure your Google ad explicitly states that you are selling trees, for example put a special offer with price in the text description, e.g. "Order two trees for $19.95 and get one free!"

Anyone who will go out of their way to sell you SEO services, for the most part, arent worth their weight in salt $0.02

Yeah that's a waste of fucking time in 99% of the cases.

Timon 12-18-2004 10:04 AM

And if I may give a recommendation, you would probably benefit from selling trees right from your homepage. I'd put pictures of your best sellers with pricing and info on the first page they see with a BUY NOW button with each tree.

Some people do not have the attention span to make it through 3 pages of textlinks to get to the goodies ;-)

I remember talking with Redlion who was one of best at it.

Years ago...

We listened to Dokks tips , and he said "That one will get you banned."

As for SE Guru , Redlion pissed his pants laughing at how inept this guy was.

"He is a useless cunt"
"What he doesn't do very well?"
"He has one or two decent listings"

We used to send to Serge 100 -200k a day SE hits on auto redirect , his count , so more like 400k genuine ;-)))))

Another couple of people on this board a pretty good , but I won't "out" them ;-))

Timon,

Do i sound like the kind of guy who has patience to wait for a plant to grow? LOL

The last time we re-did our back garden we bought plants that were already in bloom or fully mature lol

Thank you.

Actually I took my products off my front page and we’re finally revamping our shopping cart and web site. Traffic is not a problem right now nor is selling trees. In fact I decreased my budget to catch up and take a break.

It’s the need of the year and as with any new business you look at ROI and see if you’re making money. Dollar for dollar, considering fees, etc. EBay has been the best overall. It took me quite a few months to stop wasting money and getting it to work for me. Same thing with Google and Overture. I do put BUY CITRUS TREES NOW- etc. all the right words but people still go to nursery sites looking for information.

If I look at what I’m spending with google and overture I don’t know why I can’t hire a good placement guy for half of that and get me even more clicks. Then again if anyone was that good (I always thought this) why would he work for someone and not just promote his own shit?

Still, I thought maybe you guys in adult new someone who could do this for my non-adult business. I’ve hired a few guys and wasted my money. Still waiting for placement. I often wonder if my submissions are rejected as long as I’m paying to be a sponsor. Does anyone know this?

There was a type of Blood Orange developed for Florida by the University of Florida. It’s called “Bud Blood” and it’s truly yummy. Nothing beats fresh citrus and today it’s so easy to grow your own in containers no matter where you live. Last night I’m sitting on the sofa with a friend and she asked me if I had any fruit. I walked outside and picked it off the tree. When I make a martini I go out and pick a few key limes or Meyer lemon is great in salads or cooking.

Blood orange juice is the bomb. Great. The tree is actually very pretty because it has very dark green foliage. I have 7 gallon/ 4 foot trees that will fruit and stay pretty short if you want me to ship you one.

Skarky (Mike) I still owe you a Key lime tree btw.

Lee 12-18-2004 12:42 PM

Dianna,

Shoot me some info on the blood orange trees, i hate to wait for things to grow usually but i have just found an ideal placement for an almost mature orange tree in the garden :)

Dianna, look at it this way, if a guy is really good at SEO then why would he help other sites by doing a one time job if he can spend that time to promote his own pages from which he can sell traffic?

Exactly right.

Why sell what u can almost monopolise.

friends are a different matter though....hard to say no sometimes.

Some good advice.

The only thin SEGuru excelled at was self promotion.
