I got an adware put on my system and i cant seem to get all of it off

I got the tool bar off but I still get a browser pop once in a while and that stupid highlighted key words on pages that I surf

any ideas how to get rid of this crap

I got one on my daughters laptop.

I tried adadawre..and searchand destroy...still can't get rid of it :(

I have a machine at the house that is still screwed up with adware from weeks ago. I ran everything I could find against it.. removed several things by hand but I still have problems with it. I've just started using Firefox on it.. eventually the spyware killers will find a cure for that pc.. until then I just avoid IE.

Its a long system scan but it never let me down yet.......adware/scum/trojans the lot.

Fuck creative marketing. It should be illegal. Any type of script that enters your regs, alters your programming should be illegal.

Basically everything you install on your PC does that ;-)

The only difference is that ad & spyware don't offer a convenient uninstall utility.

That is the only application we use on our machines and it even removes shit that the other spyware removal programs leave behind :)

actually F-Secure anti virus found a ton of spywares on my system 62 infected files but it would only rename some of them not remove them

I guess i have to remove them manualy

atleast the highlighted key words seem to be gone for the moment

but i got a pop for netflix when the system booted up so still have some shit on here

hijackthis will show you a list of all the stuff in your registry and allow you to remove the registry entries.

You need to know what should be there and what shouldn't be there though. However, there is some fubar protection because it does do a back up of the registry first.

If you run it, you can produce a log of what it shows in the registry and you can post it on some of the "spyware hater" boards and folks there can most likely twell you what to turn off. Or you could post the log here and I will take a stab at it.
