Shame too, that was always my favorite event. Great location. The music wasn't so loud you couldn't have a conversation. The layout had lots of places where you could sit with a few people and talk. Decent food and drinks. And of course the games themselves if you want something to do.

Would've loved to have seen it continue even if it had to cut back a bit. I dont mind buying booze, just looking for a good place to hang out with folks.

Oh well, thanks to MaxCash for sponsoring it for all these years, I remember it going back at least to 1999 or so....whichever year the show was at Monte Carlo. And ARS for joining in for more recent years.

one of the best times I had there was about 3 or so years ago, started with gameworks then many pool games and drinks with RB, then back to the venetion, upstairs to the with RB, mikefold and some others for many more drinks, ending down in the casino with fold around 4am losing a c-note to some scammer that took advantage of a drunk : ) Great night..............thanks RB,fold and whoever else was around:)

To me it became a tradition. Hitting the venue and actually being able to speak to people without fear of being deafened.

They certainly are and i honestly think we are going to start seeing less and less 'partying' events at the shows next year and more 'business' orientated ones.

It seems like the times of sponsors proving who have the biggest dick have passed and they are now concentrating on increasing their bottom line profits.

I know that was the primary reason behind why we decided to the Gay Webmaster Bash in Vegas (although we wont be doing it in 2007 in Vegas) and also in Phoenix and at Florida.

We pandered to the 'drunks' at Phoenix this year and we did quite well from it but we're deciding to focus more on building our established working relations rather than wasting money on attempting to aquire new ones with those who quite simply put, couldnt balance their 5 year olds piggy bank if their life depended on it ;)

No worries. Today will be tomorrow's "good ol' days" for someone. Probably even us. ad infinitum. I'll be in Vegas. I'll be having a good time.
