There was a local news report on grease cars...cars that run on used kitchen grease instead of gas (it's actually a hybrid that runs on deisel and grease)
The full report is here: http://www.kvbc.com/Global/story.asp?S=2629131 |
my step-mother is from germany and some people she know have cars that are hybrid like that. gas is expensive in europe.
frankly, I dont know why anyone would give a shit in the usa. Just buy a hybrid gas-electric if you are THAT concerned about the money. gas is cheap here. I think it's a great idea though. reuse what is waste. |
We've had it good here for a long time. Even at $2 a gallon, we're still cheap compared to the rest of the world.
Europeans are running around in cars so small that it would take a half gallon of lube to get me and GonZo into. Meanwhile, here in the U.S. muscle cars are making a bit of a come back, and soccer moms are going to get groceries in full size SUVs. Hopefully hydrogen will be viable before the music stops. Electric hybrids are already looking pretty good for commuter transporation. Make one that'll go 0-60 in 5 seconds and I might even get interested. |
"May I take your order, please?"
"I'll have a number 2", I replied. "And a fillup". |
