Peaches 10-21-2004 12:06 PM

Stupid psycho bitch sold the lots next me. There were surveyors down here a few weeks ago and then someone doing a perc test. I asked the perc test guys if she had sold it and they said no so I thought she was doing all this to put it officially on the market.

Then I saw a van down here a few times this weekend from Coweta County,

My neighbor just called and it's a couple in FL that are buying it as a 2nd home (that's a good thing - won't be here as much) but get this: They paid "in the 20's" for it! I talked to her 2 months ago and she said it was $42K. My neighbor and I offered her around $20K two years ago and she said we "insulted" her and never made a counter offer. PLUS these people went through a RE agent so she's paying commission too!

They plan to start building w/in a year but thankfully are only building one house (3 lots).

What a fucking bitch.

Oh well, they'll get the house built and once there's another house down here, mine will look more accessible for when I sell it. :nyanya:

damn, does that mean you cant garden in the nude anymore? :P

Exactly. This is SO going to cramp my style. :(

Fokkers.

kath 10-21-2004 01:32 PM

Sorry to hear it Peaches - I know how you loved your private little paradise up there. That sucks.

Brings a whole new meaning to "there goes the neighborhood." :o

So will you be looking for a new house in the woods - or are you thinking of trying civilization? That would be one heck of a change I would imagine...

Peaches 10-21-2004 01:46 PM

Oh, I will NEVER go back to civilization. Been there, done that. As I get older, I'm finding myself disliking being around a lot of people less and less B)

And it might not be too bad depending on where they put the house. The construction phase is going to be a bitch but it honestly will add a good amount of resale value to my house, so it all comes out in the wash :)

Vick 10-21-2004 01:49 PM

Of course someone could have some fun during this phase

Moving the survey markers and other assorted things can cause delays and even critical errors that could delay completion of the house

Nah, it's not their fault. I'm just so pissed at Psycho Bitch for obviously selling it for not much more than we offered her and not giving us an opportunity to counterbid.

Her boyfriend (now husband I think) does a lot of my handyman work. It will be a cold day in hell when he does any more :)

ahahahahahahahaha

And then of course , there is always the chance of a terrible accident , or a fire say , half way through construction....

Terrible, terrible terrible thing...

Funny you should mention that! Someone was showing me a beautiful development the other day but COULDN'T FIGURE OUT IF ANYTHING WAS ON THE MARKET IN IT!! :grrr:

Then again there's always the house in Montana with no power :)

pushpills 10-21-2004 04:18 PM

If you fall and break your legs, *maybe* someone will be there to hear your screams, at least. :awinky:

Yeah, I thought about that. But if they're only going to be part time, with my luck I'll break them while they're gone <_<

I WILL be hooking the alarm back up when the construction starts though. :grrr:

You can live there with me for free - just tinker around the house :)

Cleo 10-21-2004 05:11 PM

Florida is nice. Sand, beaches, palm tress, fresh air, lots and lots of fresh air, sometimes fresh air at over 100 miles per hour fresh air.

Did I mention that we get lots of fresh air…

Peaches 10-21-2004 05:24 PM

NEVAH! Lived there already. Too much heat and humidity for me in FL. I need seasons :)

SykkBoy 10-21-2004 07:19 PM

I would be more afraid of sweaty, slimy construction workers than the new neighbors...

why don't you just stop bathing for a few months and start wearing aound a potato sack as a dress and talk to yourself loudly while in view..make your new neighbors think you're missing a few screws....I have one neighbor so afraid of me, I could probably buy his house for 75% of market value ;-)))

They'll probably start construction after the winter - perfect timing! :)

Cleo 10-21-2004 07:43 PM

While we were all sitting around after the first hurricane waiting for electric to come back on I got a bad case of diarrhea of the month and told the woman who lives across the street from me what I do for a living.

Since then I've been thinking that now I'm really on my neighbor's shit list but it seems that just the opposite has happened.

Since then all my neighbors have been being super nice to me and the one across the street from me gave a gift certificate since she said that she wanted to get me a little something for my house since I was so nice to her in helping her after the storm.

I'm guessing that my neighbors are relieved that all I'm doing is selling porn. They did look really shocked when I told them but seem cool with it now.

Peaches 10-21-2004 07:48 PM

LOL, Cleo! :)
