If you vote for Bush or Kerry to be the President of the USA- YOU LOSE

and the USA loses

as expressed (ad nasum) by myself for months now

Bang your head :headwall: all you want
Tout who's the less evil, the lessor of the fuck ups
It's a losing proposition either way

Vick 09-02-2004 02:47 PM

The above post was brought to you by the
It amazes me that intelligent people debate Bush /Kerry campaign and issues coalition

Either way it's a shit sandwich and why are intelligent people so ready to accept a shit sandwich?

PornoDoggy 09-02-2004 03:48 PM

Why do you think it is a losing proposition?

Vick 09-02-2004 05:29 PM

I don't think Kerry or Bush are going to be (the best or even a) good leader for the USA

Both are garbage, why pick from garbage? Why accept junk for the (arguably) leader of the world - or even what can be seen as the most important position in the USA/World

You know how I've feel about this PD (you've certainly heard it enough)

I don't feel either are fit to lead and I certainly don't want to follow either

Those running for the office of the President of the USA should be the best the country has to offer

Neither Bush nor Kerry are

I fell pretty close to the same way...I just look forward to making more money that a Kerry presidency would provide...gridlock rules!

PornoDoggy 09-02-2004 09:46 PM

I've heard it ... I've just never agreed with that line of thinking. I'm not willing to be governed by HAL - which means that the President is going to be a mere mortal.

Somebody is going to lead; the mere fact that they aren't going to meet some sort of ideal or standard doesn't change the fact that a Kerry nominated supreme court justice or a Bush decision on the environment are very likely to be quite different from the one their opponent would make. The decisions the next President makes will have consequences for years to come - not just in our lifetime, but in the lives of your son and my grandson. I absolutely refuse to abidcate a right that people died to protect or defend. I know who is running the show makes a difference.

Just my humble opinion ... in America, you have the right to agree with me or be wrong. :)

a two party system is not what this country was meant to be. a duality of conglomeration of wealth and power does not serve the bst interest of John Q Public. thus the persistant "lesser o two evils" argument

grimm 09-02-2004 09:49 PM

and this RNC video is making my stomach queasy.

back to the football game until bush gets on

There comes a time when picket signs and sit-ins are no longer an effective means by which to bring about change. At that point...it's time to start throwing rocks. Something bad is going down in ALL government right now but 90% of America is to stupid or complacent to see it let alone do anything about it. This country needs a shakeup. They can come in my home without a search warrant? Something is in the air right now...you can almost smell it. Can you feel it? It's a creaking battleship begging to be decomissioned. Someone has to be the first to put the wrench on the bolt so to say though. I just don't think there are enough people who aren't scared of our government to actually do anything about it though. Complacent, fear-driven sheep...

I haven't watched a convention renominating a sitting President since LBJ (hey - I was 11). Frankly, I pay less attention to each successive convention overall. I don't do informercials ... and that's all they are.

The evolution of the two party system took place rather quickly ... and seems to have served us well. Some of the founders envisioned a system evolving with no parties. That, like the invisible hand and the dictatorship of the proletariat, makes for good fantasy stuff, but is hardly practical.

I'm not convinced the battleship is creaking, and even if is - some creaking always takes place during the stress of a storm, and we're in one now. I personally think we'll weather it, although some shit will go down before we're through it.

Oh, the stench of rot is noticable sometimes, mostly from the far right. If you scrape beyond the false vener of the patrio-babble they spew, they hate America as it exists. They long for a return to pre-1964, pre-1932, pre-1920, fuck, for all I know, pre-fucking-Jacksonian democracy.

If it should come to THAT - fuck rocks. Tin soldiers of today are much better trained and heavilly armed. Call it the Krause-Miller-Scheuer-Schroeder rule.

The eltist, racist left hates this country just as much as the elitist, racist right, PD.

This is a really shitty choice. One guy can barely speak, and the other guy is a totally contrived fraudulent empty shell of a man.

And there's something especially creepy about how that little fraternity at Yale keeps placing people in positions all over the highest levels of our government, in the CIA, in the FBI, in the Congress, and in the White House.

I agree with Grimm that this ain't even close to what was envisioned when the Constitution was adopted.

The founders of the Constitution didn't want wealthy white landowning privileged aristocrats to compete in a two horse race for the right to run the country?

Basically what is being posted here is echoing my sentiments

Why are we going to accept it's either Kerry or Bush

I'm still in favor of

what if there was an election and ....

.... no one voted

Neither Kerry nor Bush are deserving of being elected to the office of the President of the USA

Don't vote

Vick 09-03-2004 02:41 PM

Think about this Democrat and Republican voters

You're lickin' up the arsenic
From the same old lace
You know the stuff is poison
But you gotta have a taste

Can you tell me why?

The Genghis Khan wanna be with a delusion of theological grandeur or the dipshit loser who couldn't get laid in school....

Worthy isn't really relevant. There is no philosopher king - as plato made clear; they'd turn down the job.

I'll stick with the dipshit - he won't make decisions based on "visions".

The lesser of two evils and two evils are all you have. That's reality.

If that's all you can see to accept I disagree

Don't vote, technically Bush will still be president until Jan 2005

Bring the country to a standstill

Anarchy is preferable to Bush or Kerry

aeon 09-04-2004 01:17 AM

Neither you nor I will bring anything to a standstill.

The best anyone can hope is to buy time...until something better appears.

Cheers :stout:
