Congrats to JoesHo on getting the OK and licence to do the webmaster boxing thing off the ground for the Phoenix forum next year...
Man, I make the trip especially if any of the 3 pinheads I'd happily belt the crap of would even show up. And that ain't gonna happen. The list of excuses will be MUCH longer than the list of entrants. Half the fun will be the BS on the boards in the lead up, followed by late withdrawls and no-shows. Not everyone can be like us. and I think I heard many saying "Thank God" in the background !!! :yowsa:  |
Yeah, the guy I wanna box would be too busy hiding out in his shack in North Carolina to even attend anyways....
I might do it for charity though |
Could be an interesting event.

I'm a lover not a fighter B)

"you have such nice domains" "why thankyou, and may I say your traffic quality is just divine" ....... nah, don't think so Dan :\ |
That'd be some good fun. I wouldn't mind hopping in. I've never fought with boxing gloves though. I think it'd be weird.
|
Another version of model boxing?
mmmmm I'm not sure... |

Yet another stupid macho 'i am tougher than you' promotion that serves nothing but the egos of the entrants.
Yay can we please go to a webmaster show so we can watch webmasters punch each other?!?!? how lame Bellyflops are funny, amusing and entertaining. Boxing is just a blatant ego pumper for the morons in this industry who think they are tough & that business has anything to do with who is scared of you. While you are all jumping around deciding whose the biggest toughest hunk of stupidity, the rest of us will be taking your business  Happy Happy Joy Joy - we can look forward to months of keyboard warriors threatening each other. That should be great for the overall future of this business. I honestly wonder what some of the men in this industry use for brains. |

You don't wonder :wankit: :awinky: |
This is going to be the event of the year....
we have a lot of good things in store for it, it will be fun, active, and many people will love the entertainment it provides.. I have just one question, since we have nort announced what all will be entailed in this event, how or why would anyone presume to know it's out come? at least let us announce the entire program before you pan it.... :inlove: |
im going to have to hold a lottery for the amount of people who will wanna bash my skull in.
|
haha.
the total number of fake, would be fighters will increase probably 10 fold but i am guessing that the pre show threat to actual fight ratio will remain the same constant. |

He he. Hell, you should, you'd have a damn better right hook that 90% of the pretenders that DO end up in the ring, and you're a damn sight tougher by half !! Like I said in my earlier post, I agree, there will lots of talk, lots of BS and little action at the end of the day. That, was my point in this thread. I don't have anything to prove to anyone, myself included, but having said that that ain't gonna stop me saying what I feel about someone, when I feel it, how I feel it. In that respect, sort of like you actually. |

Battle of The Programs type shit, but should be a upper limit on what the fighter can be paid. The last thing we need is the biggest swinging dick with the biggest fat wallet. Pay the fighters, proceeds to charity, good deal and should be a good night out. I honestly believe you will bugger all of the usual suspects actually taking part in the first part, IMHO. But a big effort on your part and I hope it comes of brilliantly in return. |

I'll enter ... but only if anthony gives me a few lessons before I enter :okthumb:
ToyBoy you might be big, but I'm flexible :awinky: LM :biglaugh: |
You mention "licensing." Just playing devil's advocate..and know this is why it's not going down in Vegas because licensing would be a big issue...but did he really get sanctioned by the state to hold a boxing event in Arizona?
Is it even something that is required? I don't know the laws and won't pretend to...just wondering out loud is all. |

What I meant was that CJ can't enter to fight the blokes that she would, in all likelihood, give a kicking anyway. I am sure most people understood that. NO-WHERE will sanction that. Which potentially saves quite a few guiys from severe embarrassment I would suggest. |

And if I thought you did, I'd give them 2 you from the yawning depth of my 6 pro fight experience. I would pay BIG money to watch you bitch slap a few suspects round a square ring for 3 rounds. And you would. No question. |

But Arizona is OK with it, it will run quite a lot of money, but it will go on, and AZ is the place. we also considered the san diego show, and the florida show too, but we feel AZ is the best option. and yes to answear you question of wondering outloud, AZ does require some criteria be met, including licensing, and also physicals from every fighter, and aids tests, from every fighter, comp-lete background checks on us as promoters, and pregnancy tests for any women fighters, I will have the full list of requirments for fighters up on the site, by oct. 15th |

Though what I would teach you wouldn't be allowed in Boxing. They hate getting taken down and getting grounded and pounded. |
We used to do "Boxing" nights in the Navy. They usually ended up being more comical than viscous.
All participants had to have the physical and the whole bit. Had to go through a couple of hours training on legal versus illegal stuff and all that. Most of the time nobody got hurt in any way and most matches were basically who could keep a pair of 16oz boxing gloves up in front of their face the longest. |
