Vick 08-17-2004 01:19 AM

Can't do a shout out or thank you post as I had a great time and enjoyed the company and hospitality of so many (and I don't want to forget anyone - pardon me if I come back and add to this)

vooman and fatbaby are 2 of the nicest gentlemen you could ever want to meet

A lot of us light up when we talk about things outside of the business
(see Hammer & I or Sharky & I about children)

Billy is damn sexy
(what happens in Miami stays in Miami um ...)

MikeAI has the best reputation of anyone in the business
(deservedly so)

Besides being beautiful and intelligent Katie is very personable

Serge and Sue look to be having the time of their lives

Aga knows all the words to the background vocals of Runaround Sue

Colin really knows how to live and is having a great time at it
(he gets called the numbers guy)

Gonzo really does have a smooth voice and is not afraid to use it
(plus he knows everybody)

Luke & Christian make a cute couple
(really they're bright young men but since I have 15-20 years on them I have to poke at 'em)

Scarlett's has the best decor of any high end strip club

KC is an all around good cookie, even sleep deprived

Joesho has his heart in the right place

Gabe is constantly funny
Gabe & Shok together are side splitting funny
Gabe & Shok with Peaches in the middle are piss your pants, tears rolling down your face funny

Peaches has good organizational skills (damn it I forgot to card you!!!!!)

Wig really likes his Donkey
(and isn't afraid to let anyone know)

Richard still laughs at the Mark Burke's father joke

Sharky is another good cookie and remembers all his customers

Cleo has a wicked sense of humor
(see tranny companion for example)

Luna is a sweetheart

Raw Alex is still Raw Alex (bless him for it)

Whatever Greg earns from SIC he deserves more

Guerrilla marketing is in, big crazy parties are out

Good thing to find someone at a show who you have different opinions from and talk with them
Biggy and I enjoyed a couple good discussions

A show like this can rejuvenate you for the business, particularly if you can mix between the old school and the young lions

Seems a lot more people read Oprano than post here

VooMan 08-17-2004 01:45 PM

Thanks for the kind words, Vick. I had a great time hanging out with you. :)

Peaches 08-17-2004 01:55 PM

Vick, it was SO good to finally meet you! And you can now attest to my lack of directional skills - I might never have met you if not for them :P I know I echo many others I heard when I say you are a asset to the business and an all around super nice guy (and you ain't bad with the magic stuff either :awinky: ).

Now you need to come down to ATL and hang with us a bit - there are a mulitude of free lodging abilities :)

(I'm still wondering about this Gabe/Peaches/Shok sandwich........ )

Cleo 08-17-2004 02:01 PM

It was great finally meeting you in the flesh Vick. :~)

Hmmm, wicked sense of humor… you need to meet my unnormal friends sometime.

gonzo 08-17-2004 02:10 PM

Vick it was a pleasure to hang out with you and finally spend some quality time.

I think your finding out that theres a lot more to this biz than what you see on the boards. Which Im sure isnt a revelation maybe something you hadnt thought about in a while.

And you know me....I wont hesitate to run my mouth. But I dont know everybody... not yet!

Bishop 08-17-2004 02:13 PM

I learned many things in Florida.. but probably the most important thing I learned was that Serge and Sue have excellent taste in art, food, drink, and friends.

Mike AI 08-17-2004 02:24 PM

I had a great time hanging with Opranauts !! I was reminded why the creme always rises to the top!

RawAlex 08-17-2004 02:27 PM

I learned that everywhere I seem to go, I find an opranaut. Apparently the creme also oozes into all of the corners! :-)

Vick, I yam what I yam. :-)

Nice to see everyone again, nice to be reminded that no matter how much we are keyboard warriors, we are friends at the end... and it is all good :-)

Oh yeah, Colin, do you have a "before and after" pic set? You lose any more and you will disappear!

Alex

Mike I understand the party at the club was OUTSTANDING. I went back to my room for a nap and didn't wake up till the next morning. I think I missed a good night out. I heard about it the next day.. I think the bellyflop competition might have to be repeated... that went over very well.

...concerning Serge it goes deeper than that.
Serge is a fucking ICON.... a legend.

Everywhere I went I was asked..."Where is Serge?"... "Is Serge coming to the show?" Everybody wants Serge. Love him or hate him....they all flock to him.

Vick is right...there are a lot of people that read this board that dont post.

Reading Oprano is like reading the Wall Street Journal in this business. And Serge is the Publisher of the damn thing!

I often laugh how a man thats been retired from the business [as many weasels continue to point out] still has everyones attention.

Yeah Colin looks nothing like his drivers license.. absolutely nothing. That was the first time Colin and I met.. Anthony kept going on about how different he looked. I then saw his drivers license and couldn't believe it..

Colin you need to put out a book for the rest of us.. haha

gonzo 08-17-2004 02:41 PM

.... I think this is a very concise summation of the show and really the State of AVN shows in general.

I learned that with proper diet, excercise, and just overall excellent genetics, I too can lose weight.

I'd still buy that book Colin!

good thing though, otherwise your pillows, sheets, clothing and toothbrush would be defiled on video for everyone to see ;-)))

gonzo, Bishop, thanks for VERY kind words!

Small correction:
NOT everybody:
Microsoft doesn't want me,
FTC doesn't want me,
IRS doesn't me,
Dade County, Broward County, Palm Beach County Sherrifs don't want me,
and I can live with this lack of "wants"

I had more business done one on one, walking around and talking to people. I even hit ppl up on the elevator.

I went to one party, the one we threw on Friday. It was low key, great food, open bar. I got to talk to more people there, than anywhere else.

It's not the size of the dog in a fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog.

Or is that it's not the size of the wave, but the motion of the ocean?

Somehow this is going to be made into a joke about my small penis.

Vick 08-17-2004 03:08 PM

Thanks for all the kind words :agrin: really I am an evil, mean, nasty fucker. Don't let any one fool you

As far as networking and meetings,
I pull up in the lobby (or at the Splash Bar), and watch.
Sooner or later everyone comes by
It's comfortable, quiet and a descent atmosphere

prolly one the biggest things I regret for not making the trip this summer is not getting a chance to meet Vick, damn maybe he'll make vegas also :)

Hammer 08-18-2004 07:06 PM

It was great to meet you Vick, and as usual, it was a pleasure talking to Gonzo. I saw Peaches everywhere but we didn't manage to run into each other this time.

It was especially cool drinking absinthe with Serge and talking about great wines and interesting foods. Speaking of interesting foods, did anyone try the barbecued organs at that Greek restaurant up the road? It was awesome.

The minute someone refers to me as a GFY'r or opranaut is the minute I make Jeffrey Dahmer look like a pacifist.

Identifying yourself by an internet message board is an absolute indication that suicide is the only positive contribution your existence can afford society at large.
