Doughnut retailer unveils frozen beverage line, including a glazed-flavored drink.

NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Once the fried dough embodiment of hot and fresh, Krispy Kreme has transformed its original glazed doughnut into a new frozen beverage for summer.

The chain introduced a new line of frozen drinks Wednesday, including frozen original kreme -- a drinkable version of the company's signature doughnut -- raspberry, latte and double chocolate.

"Just as we did with our new signature coffees, our team took great care in developing four new, great-tasting frozen blended beverages, designed to offer customers an even greater variety of choices and taste experiences," said Krispy Kreme President and CEO Scott Livengood. "We feel our expanded beverage offerings will provide tremendous growth opportunity for both the company and the Krispy Kreme brand."

Ive had the coffee drinks that choclate frappuhchino is made from the same chocolate glaze. It will make your head buzz.

Good idea but lousy execution so far. They're inconsistent, might be quite tasty one time and the next time so sweet that you cant drink it.

True FFN's take their box of KKD's down to the local Starbucks and play porn scrabble while getting all of the tiles sticky.

That just sounds gross and even more unhealthy than the original - raise your blood pressure and glucose count in 10 seconds or less.... drink a Krispy Kreme today!

I completely agree.....sounds disgusting.

The Krispy Kreme doughnut in a glass might be popular with police....drink your donut on the road....no more embarrassing sticky fingers and donut glaze stuck to the lips while writing the next ticket. No more jokes about whose eyes are more glazed. :unsure:
