I've been getting phone calls and letters and so far, so good with less than 2 weeks to go :)

He leaves for "Warrior Week" later today and gets back on Friday. It is being outside, camping, shooting, eating MRE's - basically what the Marines do their entire boot camp :awinky:

I'll be leaving on the 26th for his graduation on the 27th. He leaves for wherever his tech school is the following Monday.

There are 7 openings for the job he wants and they've changed it to Top Secret from Secret so this should be interesting.....He won't know his job or where he's going to be at school until a few days before graduation. If he's at Kessler I'm still planning his 21st B-day party late July in Biloxi if anyone wants to join in. I'll be bringing a couple of his friends so I'm sure they'll want me to just be around to drive CT from the base and back. :awinky:

He was VERY tired today and said when gets off base liberty after graduation, he just wants to eat and sleep :okthumb:

All in all, he made the right decision. :)

congratulations, I hope that he will do a good job in the defense of our country! We need the few the proud! and I fully support our troops!

despite what our president is trying to do... i.e. (nation building, genocide, steal another countries resources just because they are weak, etc...)

AF doesn't have MOS, they have AFSC - they just HAVE to be different, hehehe :awinky:

His first choice is 2E2X1

2nd is 4A2X1

Actually, the Navy doesn't have an MOS - they have an NEC.

Both sound pretty interesting ... 2E2X1 kind of relates to things I played with my first four and my final year in the Navy.

Glad to hear he's enjoying it.

TheEnforcer 05-16-2004 04:58 PM

Yeah but the Navy and Air Force are backwards!

pushpills 05-16-2004 05:03 PM

good for him!

when he called you did he say "bah da buh buh bah....i'm lovin' it" ?

VooMan 05-16-2004 05:05 PM

Good news, Peaches. I'm glad to hear CT is doing well. :)

Yeah, well ... YOUR MOMMA!

Peaches 05-16-2004 06:11 PM

I was amazed at how "young" the AF is. My Dad was in 42+ years ago and was telling me the first graduating class of AF pilots - apparently Lindberg (sp) was one - was 100 strong, but they had no planes to fly. :P

Glad he is doing well. Not surprising - he will thrive in this environment!
