sweeter than 2001 (all this good extra sun wasn't wasted on it ;-)
has more tanin in it and stronger alchohol taste, suggesting that the wine is VERY young and needs to sit in a bottle for a year or two and add some finishing qualities to it.

Other than that,
another good everyday wine from Coppola,
no disapointments here,
even though if I had to chose,
I'd rather had 2001 for another 6-12 months

What is a good price range for the 2002?

I paid $2 less than for 2001,
$13+

Coppola bought some more acrage last year, which might explain the drop in price.

after breathing for 30 mins,
acohol taste dissipaited and wine became smoother...but..it's still not 2001
;-(((
