Since Peaches and Carrie revealed they are into countertops in a recent thread, this should fuel their fantasy...

The boots rock!!!

Best thread title of the month.

We like really nice expensive kitchen counter tops and cabinets - we can afford what your model is sitting on. :(
Men are so clueless when it comes to women's fantasies. :headwall: |
Sigh... if women only explained themselves better!! :headwall: :P

LOL - Peaches is right, we got all giddy over the counters we wish we could afford. :P
But those boots DO rock. I'd like to have those! |
My wife calls those "bed boots" haha..

Nope, not at all. What I mean is that they EXPECT you to know every damn detail of what they are thinking and how they feel whether they make themselves even remotely clear or not!! :headwall: You want a perfect example of how twisted women are? Watch the movie A Knight's Tale and see if any SANE guy would do what Heath Ledger's character did there. Quote:

And let me tell you, men are 10 times worse. The last guy I had a serious relationship with I sat down at the very beginning and said "Look, we're old, we're not in HS, I don't feel like playing games. Honesty IS a virtue!" B) When we broke up, he started pulling up things from months earlier that he didn't bring up at the time they were happening. An example: We were going to a party with a group of my friends whom he'd never met. I had a massive migraine that night and 2 friends who were going with us decided not to go. He figured we didn't go because I didn't want him to meet my friends. So he spent a month or so letting that "piss simmer" instead of asking me straight out and/or believing what I'd said. That is SO unfair. |

Same here Peaches... we're actually thinking about knocking down a couple of walls and making the downstairs all just a large kitchen area & huge family room - forget the formal living room, I just don't need it! Hopefully we can get a contractor in here before I just start knocking down walls - lol  |

Here's my kitchen: http://www.onlinebeach.com/kitchen.jpg To the left is the "dining area" and to the right is the "den". It's really all one big room with that one break counter you see. On the other side of the wall where the fridge and stove are is the guest closet which I use as a pantry, lol! It IS a vacation cabin - nothing more. Completely impractical for big kitchens, which since I don't cook isn't a problem. I just like the way big nice kitchens look, hehehe. I can always go over to Wig's - they have a GREAT kitchen like the ones you see in magazines. :inlove: |
BTW, here's what I'll be doing to the kitchen as soon as I win the lottery :awinky:
I want to remove the stove/oven from where it is and put it where the "bar" counter is between the kitchen and DR. That space is totally useless because the dining area is too small to have a table and chairs AND chairs up against the bar. I plan on putting an oven on the bottom and then a downdraft Jennair stove on top. The problem is getting the air out. Right now I don't even have a vent over my current stove. I think it's because cutting a big hole in the logs might comprimise their load bearing ability - I don't know. :( That will open up USEABLE counter space where the stove/double oven is now (and obviously I don't need a double oven - the top part is current for storage of pyrex, hehehe and NOT Todd's kind!). And I want to remove the Formica and put in Corian and put tile for the backsplashes. Not granite because too many friends of mine put in granite and now don't like it. First of all is getting a new dishwasher though - I swear this one is the most anemic thing I've ever seen. :( I'm waiting for the Lowe's to open cuz they say they deliver. :okthumb: Last edited by Peaches at Feb 10 2004, 02:17 PM |

We bought a dishwasher over a year ago - I love the damned thing so much I still won't let the kids do the dishes because I don't want them touching it. lol I know it sound weird but this d/w is really amazing. Maytag JetClean II - 3 Rack Dishwasher It's super quiet, programs up to 9 hours, 5 cleaning cycles (including rinse and an intuitive auto wash) - and with the 3 adjustable racks I can get a whole day's worth of dishes (family of 4, lots of cooking from scratch @ home) done in one load. :rokk: ...edited to fix the link... My soap dispenser won't open if you don't leave both racks completely clear above it. So instead of filling the DW up, I end up leaving about 1/3 of it empty. And it's only about 4 years old. :( I figured I'll see if I can donate it to someone who will be willing to pick it up. :) |
