Do you ever type up really long post about something then never hit submit?

Something annoys you so you vent it out in a post but then realize how many people your going to insult when its posted.. or you find something really amusing so you type it all out thinking how funny it is.. only to decide that if you post it everyone will assume your self medicating.

I ask this question because I do this regularly.

Constantly! I usually put them as an outgoing message in my email proggie and sometimes I'll go back after a few deep breaths (which could take 10 minutes to 2 days :P ) and either post them or edit and post them.

It's funny when I go back and clean out the outgoing mail every few months or so and find some zingers that were never posted - here and on other boards. :okthumb:

happens all the time to me. what sucks is your can never capture your thought like the first time you wrote it. :headwall:

i do. regularly. the art of typing and NOT hitting submit takes more restraint than anything i've ever done! ;-)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who does this on a regular basis. I just went to another thread after I posted this one.. I typed up a nice little rant then came to my senses. That is so annoying.

Something else I find amusing.. I often type up a rather long post then go back and edit it down to like 2-3 sentences. As a rule when you read my post multiple it by atleast 3 and thats probably about what I wrote in the first place.

Yeah whatever Labret.. if you did business with some of those sheep you would watch your tounge. I do business with too many people to always speak my mind. You know exactly what I'm talking about.. you can act like your above it but in the real world we all watch our mouth. For some people the boards are not real at all so they speak freely.. for others it is real.. not in a strange unhealthy way but in a valid way to do business. If I strike a deal without ever speaking to that person or meeting that person.. the money is real, accordingly the means of communicating with them was equally real.

Sadly, it has to be repetitious. I get the feeling your mother routinely needs to have things explained to her over and over before it starts to make sense.

I will never understand the glee she gains from getting people to respond to her. I think its just the response she gives when she has no other response for the most part.

If I make a statement to Serge, and he responds, should I dance around about it like it was some sort of victory? Of course not, only your mother finds such mundane events enjoyable. You do not find that emotionally troubling? I would hate to watch my mother exposed on a porn message board.

Which failures were you "exposing", sweetie? The fact that I started college a full 4 years before you did, that most universities have 500 classes for undergraduates, that the upper level classes are called "Major" or that I was taking major level classes as a freshman and sophmore?

The thing I hate is after typing a great post, you submit and something happens and its lost.... that is a major pet peeve of mine!

I have been fortunate not to have to rely upon others for business success, which has allowed me to speak freely, and bomb bridges...

It is very liberating.... and probably has allowed me to sleep much better!
