For those that rarely look at GFY (me being one , though today I read it) I thought I'd mention some monthly sales:
AaronM - $8500 Boneprone is alledgedly turning down $12k Unknowns are being picked up at $500 - $1000pm. (Many by Lensman) These $$$$$ are nuts.............. --- btw I was the first person ,I think, to pay people to post on WM Boards when I owned Netpond....and look at it now ;-)))) Last edited by Nickatilynx at Jan 28 2004, 02:02 PM |

I personally don't see this lottery lasting much longer. :awinky: (HOWEVER, for $15K a month, I'll gladly continue to promote WTS on the side but put YOUR sig in my posts. B) ) |
well some of the money is ego driven, and we'll never know excactly how much was "sent/paid"
That said, I did pick up some "sig reps" myself so we'll see how they do for Feb. |
12k for boneprone is BS
the rest is just plain stupid.. Im thinking that it didnt even cost that much to get oprano skinned for a week. |
Smoke and mirrors, my friends. Never forget 98% of this industry consists of illusions.
.... Hmmm. Freaking David Copperfield could make a killing here!! |
I have nearly 9000 posts on another board over 7 years. I was told by someone that if I had that on gfy I could get $1k/month easy. Makes no sense to me whatsoever. Half these people only post smileys 100 times a day. I guess it takes a big number of posts to become "respected" by morons. I guess because I don't post there much it makes me a "newbie". :biglaugh:

Or cigarman. :nyanya: |
It has been interesting to watch. A good lesson in economics. Almost like selling wigits. Will be fun to see how it turns out.

On a related note, I would like to announce the startup of my new program..
sigbrokers inc. Thats right, have a sig on a board to sell ? Contact me, I will guarantee to get you the best possible price for your sig. Board owners and program owners, you need some sig whores ? Just hit me up and I can get you sig whores by the dozen...... We will be launching our affiliate program sigwhorecash in about a month. Thats right, for every sigwhore you recruit into sigbrokers inc, we'll give you 10% of whatever that particular sig goes for, and that is recurring for the life of the sigwhore contract..... So, don't delay... Sell your sig today !!!!! (not available in the U.S., Europe, Asia, Australia, Anarctica or Alabama) |

Yeah, they won't give me back my ulfie nick and that really annoys me. I registered it the day that board opened. Lensman used to be a regular on the PC board and it was becoming the amateurpages support board after awhile. I have to hand it to Lensman though, he created a zoo and it can be entertaining at times. I'm sure it rakes in some good money so more power to him. Peaches, the cigarman "experiment" was hilarious. I got bashed like you wouldn't believe for everything I posted because I was a "newbie" with 10 posts. Even people that knew me (but didn't know it was me posting) were bashing me. It was like watching a school of sharks go to work on a whale carcass. :P |

If anyone is foolish enough to pay aaronm $102,000 a year for his sig space, they deserve to be seperated from their money. :o

At .05 cents a click at Netpond, Aaronm would have to post 170000 times to make $8500

I think he could do it. |

the fools are probably not the ones paying people for sigs in this case.
|
wait till there's a market for sig buyers mid-month try to recoup loss. day one buyer pays $12,300., day 5 , posting to everyone who would listen to his whines. day 10, asking anyone to take it for half, day 20 contacts me to get $500 for the last 10 days.
new market soon I predict. or $15,000 sigs for life. 1 of the 2 |

It's about branding. These sig sales are perfect for branding my own name as well as those who have the balls and bank accounts to back up their bids. Not to mention the branding that the winner receives from my sig views. It's not just about a post count my friend. I am not my postcount. I'm just a newbie. :okthumb: |

IMHO, anything over $2K is excessive. But maybe I'm a fool. :awinky: |

Welp, thanks for the answer to my question to Hoop, lol! B) (though I have to admit I had to go and look - so to be honest, I haven't noticed who you had on your sig for the past 2 months :( ) |
$5 and my sig is yours for this month on GFY only, make it $10 and I'll keep it there until march 1st.

How do you file for taxes if your main income is space inside your post? I hate getting lump sums like that. when tax time comes it's gone and uncle sam don't give a fuck. I predict tax-free sigs soon(buyer pays tax on sig) just a guess. |

It is all utterly fucking absurd. I sincerely hope everyone involved, dies.

Boneprone wasn't offered anything for his sig, unless he stood in front of a mirror and offered it to himself.
It's funny to watch him strutting around ranting; the man and his "family" are a joke to 98% of GFY but to listen to him you'd think he was the Godfather. A number of folks' sigs got picked up yesterday, there were a surprising number that didn't. Some folks who make genuinely good posts most of the time were left behind by folks who just post smileys or "just posting for sig placement" statements. Sad. |

you know that the chances of that are slim.....you can send me a bottle of Swanson 2001 Merlot and we call it quits....or would you rather have me bust your balls? |

LOL...Why do I get the feeling that I am being set up here? For some reason, I can't seem to find a Swanson 2001 Merlot. Even their website does not list it. https://store.freerun.com/swansonvineyards/enjoy.htm Last edited by AaronM at Jan 28 2004, 05:15 PM |

STICK TO POKER!!!!! $2k for a signature?!?!? that is just ludicrous, the programs or people who are paying this type of money are morons. but i guess at least they will lose their money quickly and the business can get on with fixing itself without them! :yowsa: branding doesn't mean letting your ego decide how much advertising space is worth  but fuck it, i'm joining in ... i will sell my gfy signature for $50000 plus $1 per post ... cash only, delivered in person. offers can be sent to my icq :okthumb: |
Precisely. I saw on GFY that someone bought BradShaw's sig. I do not know how much, but let's just say hypothetical $5,000 . It stands to reason that if BradShaw sold it for $5k then it must be worth less than $5k to him in clicks or he would reject $5k. Soo. I just don't get it. Why does the buyer not realize that the traffic isn't worth $5k?
|
My sig was sold to makefuckingmoney for $8000. I was hoping for $10k, but maybe next month.

Actually I've been thinking about offering to pay posters NOT to have Cloud 9 Cash in their sigs
Imagine that branding This space was not paid for by Cloud 9 Cash ah ha ha ha ha  |
