I had it yesterday when I went to the grocery and someone either swiped it from my car, or, more likely, I managed to take it out and drop it somewhere. I'm 99% positive of the last check number I wrote because I'm pretty sure the last one was to the dog sitter and I called to ask her the number. Stopping payment on the rest SHOULDN'T be a problem.

The funny thing is that I "lie" to myself (don't ask....my bedside clock's wrong for the same reason...) so my check register shows a negative amount on it. :P HOPEFULLY whoever took it/found it believes the register and doesn't try to write a check. :awinky:

Sorry, I just had to vent. This hasn't happened to me in 15+ years when someone stole my car and my checkbook was in it. :(

Ouch, Peaches.
Call the bank first thing in the morning and they should be able to hop right on it. To be safe though, I'd get a new account completely - think of the other things folks can do now with a bank account. Do online loans, get paypal debit cards, etc.

Yeah, Carrie, I thought about getting a new checking account number because of the reasons you stated. My auto withdrawals are out of different checking account, so there's no problem there. It's just that I FINALLY memorized my account number. :rolleyes:

Since this is such a small town, I'll probably end up getting the entire checkbook in the mail in the next few days from someone finding it. :lol:

There must be more than one little picture blown up. Auntie never showed me this picture. Is that a hat? What is this *thing* on her head? She was very friendly with the Indiana University basketball team. Why not post those pictures. Isn't Auntie Jackie sitting on the lap of one of the starting five Hoosiers? Is this all we get? One lousy picture!
