:okthumb: :okthumb:
Since no one else has mentioned it, I will...
The CCBill affiliate interface now shows you EXACT details for every program you're promoting... including when the sponsor has chosen to turn your rebills off!!

A number of sponsors have already been caught red-handed, check GFY for the drama. Perfection Girls' Jeff is being laid open. First he accused Mutt of photoshopping things and said all of his affiliates would step up and support him... none of them did. They all logged in to check and found the same thing, all rebills stop after 1. They're NOT happy.
Now he's blaming CCBill. He posted a phone number to CCBill so people could call and verify that it was their system screwing up; it wasn't CCBill's phone number that he was posting. Someone *did* call CCBill and ask, according to what they were told there is nothing wrong with things on CCBill's end and it's showing what he's got it set at. (payout 1 rebill only)
This will be interesting.

All the sponsors are in Vegas and either haven't gotten notice that their shaving has been laid open or they're not able to rush in and change things.

I checked my CCBill sponsors, out of 15 only one of them is paying a lower percentage than what they advertise on their webmaster page and none of them are limiting rebills (except for those that tell you straight out that they will).

Way to go CCBill !!!!!!!! :gbounce:

chodadog 01-07-2004 05:53 AM

I think it's great that the information is now available. I find it very disturbing that it hasn't been for god knows how long, though. The current list of sponsors that were ending rebills prematurely, without any varied payout structure or bonsues, is at 13.

Everyone knew this feature was going to be available to affiliates, and i think it would be silly to assume that more than a few sponsors didn't change this before the change came into effect.

So instead of kudos, i'd like to say; about bloody time.

Forest 01-07-2004 06:09 AM

too bad many of the BIG shavers dont use ccbill to process

Hooper 01-07-2004 06:42 AM

it's good imho that revshare programs are being exposed as crooks. why? because for years they have waved the big bullshit white flag of "revshare programs dont shave, so sent your traffic somewhere where you're a partner".

this is not the only way they can/do/will shave you.

be wise. take your money as a lump sum. up front.

jmho, but it definitely doesnt hurt to ask yourself what the big money makers buy into... and it's unlikely that you'll see anybody with serious traffic doing revshare. why? cause they know they're gonna make more on pps :)

industry.. meet consolidation.. consolidation... meet industry :D

Winetalk.com 01-07-2004 06:46 AM

Hooper,
you are right on the money!
:okthumb:

wig 01-07-2004 07:30 AM

I must be misunderstanding something here...

Is it that CCBill designed their affiliate software so sponsors could chose to not show rebills all the while the consumer was still being rebilled?

....and only now has opened that up for affiliates to view?

Why would they create that utility in the first place?

Are there actually rev share programs that disclose in their terms that affiliates will only get paid for "x" number of rebills?

Is there a list?

I was recently denied access to my stats by a sponsor for about 2 weeks...When my access was reinstated, I discovered that they must have accidently turned off the shave, also. For that period of time, my CTR was many times higher than it had ever been with that sponsor. I figure from the numbers that that sponsor is registering only about 5% of the traffic I send to them.

A partial list of CCBill Sponsors that fuck you:
PerfectionCash
Sweet18girls
Rodney Bucks
Bukkake Cash
Fetish Frenzy
Flaming Funds
Sexy Fighters
Brothers In Cash
KimHollandCash
LotzaDollars
Kirsten's Room
Black Amateurs
XXX Cash
Kirstens-Room
courtesy of jesus over at gfy...

Any of these look familiar?

Vick 01-07-2004 08:56 AM

I know this situation first hand so

CCbill has offered the option to stop paying on rebills after which ever rebill the program owner chose, they reasons for this are debatable including having a 100% payout for the join and first rebill, shaving and so on

As for PPS vs. revshare programs - Don't believe everything or anything you hear or read here, it's not necessarily true you earn the most with money up front on a PPS program

PPS programs face many challenges including making a profit paying $30-$45 on a $2.99 trial, how to control various frauds, how to stay under chargeback % and so on

The fact is make the most $ you can, safely and quickly as you can

Let's forget all the candywrapping and boasting this is better than that

Compare apples to apples by analyzing earning per click

It the beginning of a new year so if you're sending traffic/joins to various programs check your numbers for last year
- the MOST IMPORTANT NUMBER is AMOUNT PER CLICK EARNED!!!

Smart business people have many eggs in many baskets, sending traffic to programs is like investing, have a diversified portfolio

and having Cloud 9 Cash http://www.cloud9cash.com as part of that portfolio is a smart move - ask myself or any of Cloud 9 Cash's affiliates

Obviously Cloud 9 Cash pays for rebills for the life of the surfer and converts and retains extremely well

Vick 01-07-2004 09:00 AM

p.s. I think it's great CCBill has allowed this info to come out

Naughty 01-07-2004 09:15 AM

Yup, great feature.

Vick 01-07-2004 09:37 AM

p.p.s. - just ran the numbers again for calendar year 2003 for Cloud 9 Cash affiliates

Overall programs earnings were .04 per click and converted at 1 in 402

Look at what you're earning and if it's not .04 (or better) per click and you have decent traffic I'd like to take this opportunity to invite you to join Cloud 9 Cash

Yeppers.
Strip Kittens (desktop 3d strippers, really REALLY cool) pays on trial and one rebill.
Pocket-XXX pays on signup and first rebill.

I see absolutely no need for a feature like this...

as we all know..

SPONSORS DON'T SHAVE !!!!!

:yowsa:

wig 01-07-2004 10:37 AM

Vick / Carrie,

Thanks for your answers!

I don't send traffic to anyone, but I was just curious.

No merchants has ever asked us to incorporate that into our system, but then again, we normally send our merchants raw data and they display it in their own affiliate system.

Strip kittens/kitten cash says earn 30% of EVERY SALE, not just one rebill.

Glad I didn't send them more than a few clicks anyhow.

I hope the bigger shavers out there are sweating right now. I'd love to see some of these scam artists get into trouble over this illegal activity ripping off affiliates.

Its a good thing for the future, will make it slightly harder to be crooked for sponsors.

but eh, most big sponsors use their own stats and could do anything they want.

But people have very short memories. This will be all but forgotten in about 10 days.

I can see them losing the shavers most definitely, but do you really think the non-shavers will be moving too?

As a program owner I'd see this as a bonus - when I say I don't shave rebills, it's not just talk. People can see for themselves.

Razors have to be used somewhere

Actually everyone shaves, a very few not on purpose
Just as an example, if you're using CCBill for your affiliate program you are shaving about 10% as CCBill's main (there is a secondary) affiliate tracking system is cookie based

Cloud 9 Cash knows this and factors it in, that's why I pay 60% and eat the processing fees

Don't think that I'm uncouth
I only speak the truth

Edit for spacing

Well, it's not in triple digits (just double). We hope to fix that though once we get our butts moved over to Epoch.
Hell we're not even pushing for affiliates until we get over there, so we don't have to go through a bunch of people working with link code changes, etc.

And currently the affiliates we do have *do* get paid for alternate payments, like phone signups or checks.
We don't redirect any traffic
We don't do a Serge and switch stats off :)

carrie,

Are you really naive enough to believe there are non shavers?

ahahahahahahahahahaha

I admit it, I do believe that there are non-shavers... they are rare, but they do exist.
I'm one of them! :) :)
(Okay before you jump on that, I mean with my affiliate program, not my personal hygiene!!)

ahahahahahahahahaha

and you get how many joins a day?

The high low is 2 / 4 ;-)))))

Well, it's not in triple digits (just double). We hope to fix that though once we get our butts moved over to Epoch.
Hell we're not even pushing for affiliates until we get over there, so we don't have to go through a bunch of people working with link code changes, etc.

And currently the affiliates we do have *do* get paid for alternate payments, like phone signups or checks.
We don't redirect any traffic
We don't do a Serge and switch stats off :)

Bullshit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!

;-)))))
I am serious as a heart attack.
Hell Nick I don't even know *how* to switch stats off for a certain time period, LOL (we're not using custom software at the moment) and we're getting valid signups from foreign traffic so there's no need to redirect.

Caveat: At this time there's no need to redirect *grin* We'll see how Epoch does processing foreign cards.

We don't do a Serge and switch stats off :)

1) what Serge did or didn't do,
wasn't made public for 18 months after my retirement,
something the current program operators only wish
;-)))))

2) my modus operandi made money for all involved,
your modus operandi doesn't even make enough for you.....

3) you'll NEVER be Serge....live with it
;-))))))
Now Serge, why would I *want* to be a hairy guy with a butt fetish? :P

:okthumb:

I was always delighted to do business with serge.

Should he ever require traffic in the future I'd send traffic without reservation.

Usual fedexes appreciated.
